Author: Melissa Jane
Genre: Romantic Thriller
Release Date: October 2, 2018
On a fateful, stormy night, a ghost from the past revealed himself under the glow of a street lamp. A ghost whose smile was as cold and dangerous as his heart.
He remembered her well.
She was the one everyone talked about. The poor girl down the street born into a family of monsters. The one he’d obsessed over, taunted and harassed.
The very same girl who’d one day suddenly disappeared.
Accepting his hand, he lifted her off the dirty, vile street and whispered a promise, “No good deed comes without payment,” and from that day on, she was destined to pay the ultimate price.
Seeing her for the first time since she’d vanished all those years ago, had only made him realize his obsession never truly ended.
And now, with a promise to keep, he was going to make her disappear again…
this time forever.
Melissa Jane is a writer of strong Alpha’s and feisty heroines. Her love for action and romance means she puts her characters through some epic adventures and compromising situations, all with a healthy dose of uncontrollable passion.
Residing on the beautiful beachy Gold Coast in Australia, Melissa enjoys the year-round sunshine with her gorgeous husband and even more gorgeous furbaby, Pocket-the-Yorkie.
When she’s not working, you’ll often find her with a glass (ahem…bottle) of Sauvignon in hand, seeking out adventure with her just-as-crazy friends.

Neverland by Melissa Jane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This dark and twisted story left me gutted. I really want to give this 4 stars, but I just can't. When an author sucks you so far into the story that there is no turning back, keeps you there chasing that HEA that you are hoping for only to give you a taste of it and RIPPING away. How can you not give her a 5 star rating for a job well done. Neverland left me so gutted, that I had to take a few days to gather my thoughts before writing this review and honestly I love the darkest of reads, but I can't remember one that left me as speechless as this one did. This is a MUST READ and a story that I promise will stay with you.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!

You know that old saying… He’s the next big thing.
Yeah, that was me. I was a rising star, and I couldn’t have been happier.
Fame, money, women at every turn. I had it all, until the day my world came crashing down.
I never fathomed this would be my life.
But here I am, a single dad at twenty-eight and I have no clue what I’m doing.
I pray every day I’m giving her the best life, 'cause it’s the only one I know.
The minute I lost everything and had nothing left to give.
Charlee showed up.
She restored my faith and gave us so much more than I ever deserved.

So can you tell me why I’m sitting here alone?
Every single day that goes by without them, I lose more of myself.
It’s hard to imagine a world they’re not part of.
So I pick up my old guitar and tell them both how I feel.
Turns out, lullabies aren’t just for children.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was my first book by this author and thought I didn’t love it I did enjoy it. I was expecting something a little different from the blurb but i think I liked this better.
Charlee has had a crush on Alden since high school and when she came face to face with him years later she still felt the butterflies. What starts out as a one night stand turns out to be so much more when Alden suddenly becomes guardian of his niece.
This is really a great story and the writer did a phenomenal job giving us her story. I do however feel like it jumped around done and at times I was a little confused. I did really like it and will definitely check out others from this author.

Excerpt:“Good evening,” he says, as casually as if he saw me last week instead of six months ago. “Christopher,” I say, in case he hasn’t noticed. A table like this is reserved for VIPs or very special guests. Or ones with deep pockets. “This is the chef’s table. We’re sitting at the chef’s table in Koi.” “Is that good? I thought they just ran out of regular tables.” “Did you just make a joke. Oh my God. You did.” The chef chooses that moment to introduce himself, a rather effusive man with a comforting smile and a thick Japanese accent. He says he’ll forgive that we drink champagne as long as we try the sake pairing he sends with every course. And he personally serves the amuse bouche, a tuna sashimi lollie on a fennel cilantro salad with ponzu dressing that makes me moan despite myself. “Dear God,” I say when we’re alone again, my eyes still closed with the wonder of that single bite. There’s salt and citrus, and basically this is what heaven tastes like. “Did you spend all two billion dollars to get this table? Because it’s worth it.” When I open my eyes Christopher is watching me, a strange expression on his face. He hasn’t touched the plate in front of him. He seems more interested in the way that I dip my finger in the ponzu dressing and lime foam to savor the last drops. I’m not sure that love is on the table, but if the glitter in his eyes is anything to go by, sex is definitely an option. “One billion,” he says, almost absently. I blink. “What?” “Only one billion is mine. The other half belongs to Sutton.” It’s like a bucket of cold water dumped over my head. “Why did you bring me here?” One dark eyebrow rises. “You’re the one who insisted we meet in person.” “And you’re the one who brought me here.” The long pause that follows isn’t filled with hearts and roses. He does not secretly love me, and I feel like a fool for even considering the possibility. Because he took me out to dinner? It’s really a good thing I don’t date much, because I’m terrible at it. “I invested in the restaurant,” he says finally. “It helps to have your take.” “Because I have such a refined palate?” “Because you were born rich,” he says, his voice flat. “You know what rich people like.” It takes my breath away, and I’m left staring at him with the most incredible taste on my tongue. That’s all I am to him? A rich girl with nothing better to do with my time than give him advice on his new restaurant? Meanwhile I was gullible enough to think he actually wanted to spend time with me. It isn’t right. It isn’t fair, but then Christopher Bardot has never played fair.
