Hello to all you Book Whore's out there. Welcome to our blog!!! Michelle and I are not only great friends, but family also. She is married to my cousin. Books have made our bond so much stronger! We always have something to talk about. We thought it would be awesome to start a book blog together. We both share a love for reading, so why not help authors with promoting their books and help our followers to find that next book that everyone is talking about or that new book that we just got an (ARC) advance reading copy of to review and let our followers know that they should be one-clicking or pre-ordering asap.
(A Little Bit About Me)
I have been married to my soul mate for 22 years and have been a stay-at-home mom to 2 wonderful kids now 21 and 18. I was a kindergarten and first grade school teacher for six years to some of the most amazing kids ever, that I now get to see all grown up from time to time. After teaching others kids for those six years I decided to homeschool my own beautiful kids (then 6th and 9th grade students) until they graduated. I am so glad that I made that choice to do so. I got to spend that precious time with my children and watch them grow into some pretty amazing young adults that my husband and I are so proud of. Although typing this I'm thinking DAMN, I sound old...lol...I feel like a 20 year old trapped in a 40 year old body...geez, why can't my body stay in sync with my mind?!?!
I love reading and listening to music. I am obsessed with collecting signed books and I will probably be known as the book hoarder before it is all said and done. I have met some really wonderful people (authors and followers) from all over the world. The book community is really where it's at. I wish Hollywood would soon get on board. Yes, we have had many films come from books, but there needs to be so many more. Hell, they could just contact me for a list of books that would look amazing on the big screen.
I have always had a love for reading, but just didn't have the time with family and life until Twilight came along. I read that trilogy and loved. After Twilight I searched for another Vampire book, but nothing compared to Bella and Edward. I was no longer in the reading mood until that day that I saw on tv about that book that EVERY woman was reading and didn't want anyone to know that they were reading...when I heard that I was like, do tell, do tell. I also wanted to be that woman hiding and reading that forbidden book. I found out that this book was called FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. OMG!!! You know that I had to google it.. I even bought it without reading the synopsis and that did it for me, I couldn't read that trilogy fast enough. Yes, I became a book whore thanks to E.L. James and now I can't get enough of the smut that I enjoy reading.
Okay....so now that you know that I am a book whore...I really need to get back to reading because I need that next book boyfriend fix...
