Salt Water Wounds by Jennifer Foor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars What a great start to what we all know will be a awesome series. I loved this book. Finally a new book about characters that aren't twenty. It's so refreshing to have them my age, so the world can see that us forty years olds still have! Buck lost his wife seven years ago to cancer. He is left to raise his six children by himself. The guilt he feels for not always being there for his wife consumes him and since her death he has decided to be alone not wanting to let go and move on. When Perry takes her son and leaves her abusive husband, she runs back to the town where she grew up. Years of watching Buck, she knew she wanted him. Only to be shot down, but when trouble comes to her door he steps up and helps her. Can he open his heart again? Will Perry be able to put the past behind her and heal herself? This was a absolute wonderful book, the story was incredible and the writing wonderful. It's a definite must read.
