He pulled back, watching his hand curl on itself in midair. He thought of all the damage that fist had done, to so many shitheads and losers over the years, but was now a symbol of utter helplessness—inches from a person he was aching to help. Fate was getting in all its best taunts today. His spirit hadn’t agonized this much even when the news about Nichols had come out. And the pain in this stall is about you…how? Easy answer. It wasn’t. But no way in hell was he leaving her in here, all but drowning herself in several senses of the word. If she ordered him all the way out of the shower, then he’d abide—and simply sit on the tile outside. One puddle for another; no difference to him physically—but he would stay here for her, whether she asked for it or not. Even if it fucking killed him. For now, he chose to simply settle back on his haunches. Nearly as an afterthought, reached and cranked the spray off. In the eerie silence after, Tracy joined her quiet sniffs to the heavy drops of the draining water. John re-balled both his hands, hating even the inches between them. To not even touch her, let alone resist the baser need to clutch her close… Fuck. Waterboarding had nothing on this shit. And the worst part hadn’t even sunk in. She’s just following your lead, asshole. That was the worst part. In protecting her from his secret side, he’d been locked out of her secrets too. In shielding her from his darkness, she’d made sure he stayed right there—in the dark. Away from the ability to even give her some light… Moron. You. Same sentence, Keoni John Franzen. Finally, she snuffled with more determination. Jerked up her head a little, long enough to slide him a furtive side-eye, but nothing more. She pulled her hand all the way back in, tucking it beneath her chin as she settled her head against the wall again. “I want to talk to Craig.” A brutal exhalation left him. His throat tightened. His chest compressed. Hell, nothing was comfortable. Nor was it meant to be. “I know you do,” he murmured. “I’m…scared.” Screw uncomfortable. Everything was agony—especially when she wouldn’t even let him do anything about it. No. When he’d pushed her away out in the bedroom, letting her walk away with the impression that he wouldn’t do anything. “I know you are.” At least he had words. Paltry proxies, but they’d have to suffice somehow. “I have no idea what to do.” “But you don’t have to figure it out alone, ku`uipo.” Her face contorted again, though not with impending tears. Her eyes flared with irritation. “Don’t call me that.” He barely repressed a grin. “You’re gorgeous when you’re all hissy kitten.” “Yeah? Well, I have Tigress claws, remember?” “Fine, fine.” He held up both hands. “Maybe you just want ‘ma’am’ again?” “And maybe you just want me to hunt down a flattening iron.” His chuckle was impossible to tame. Her glower went from simmering to smoky. He had no idea there were so many nuances of gray. In her eyes, they were all fascinating. “Maybe you can just close your eyes and pretend I’m Craig.” The offer was sincere—he was up for any creative solution here—but her laughter, high and biting, was nowhere near a vote of approval. “That’s so not going to happen.” He frowned. “Why not?” “Because I’d know the difference.” “How?” “John.” Her laugh mellowed to a watery eye roll. He suddenly knew how Luke must feel when a test wasn’t studied for. “I’d know the difference between you and any other man.” And just like that, no more feeling like her teen kid. Feeling everything like the jerk who’d probably made the biggest mistake of his life with her earlier, and would spend the rest of his mortal days cussing himself out for it. “Fuck.” Might as well start now. “Ku`uipo.” Her tigress side flared in a swift snarl. “What didn’t you understand about not calling me that?” “And what don’t you understand that I’m only here to help?” The backlash, his higher ground pick of a reply, was still better than choice two: smashing one hell of a kiss on her feisty lips. “It slipped. So skewer me.” Her regard softened. “It’s okay. Just…be careful.” Now he was the one clinging to his scowl. “You don’t even know what it means.” “I can guess by your tone.” “And that’s a bad thing?” “When your voice alone makes me want to come over there and maul you? Yeah.” She glanced again, letting her stare linger longer—to his intense pleasure. More intense than he wanted to admit, but couldn’t deny. Not when the heat from his skin met the wetness of his clothes and created a new experience for him. Steam Bath—in SenSurround. “Tracy.” He heeded her request—the tone was new; perhaps the first time he’d ever used it outside a bondage dungeon before—though its replacement was just as merciless. Perhaps more so. He issued her name as a declaration…a command. Nothing he’d ever use on his battalion members, because this asked for a different kind of obedience. No. Demanded it. “What?” She’d dropped her head but lifted it again. Her eyes had turned huge as a pair of London moons. “Do you…want…to maul me?” For the first time since he’d crawled in here, her body loosened. She opened up a little, still staring with the moon in her eyes—only now, joined by the comets in her energy. Untamed rogue comets—all aimed his direction. “‘Want’ isn’t the word I’d use.” Flames licked the edges of her voice—and now the length of his cock. Fuck, how this woman got to him. How her spirit and sass challenged him. How her desire affected him… “Tracy.” He didn’t hesitate about wielding the dungeon command now. Doubly deep, three times as severe. “Wh-what?” Oh, yeah. He also liked it when her defiance wobbled a little. What would it be like to make it shake a lot?” “Get over here and maul me.”

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn’t know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me. I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn't stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted—I knew who I wanted—until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world. And then what it was like to lose it. Ten years later, I’ve found my way back. Back to their world. Back to him. This time, I’m ready. I've been down this road before, and I know all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck me. But it’s hard to resist. Especially when I know how much I’ll like it. Excerpt:After she was gone, I walked over to the windows and drank in the scene. The Town Center was high enough that it had an unblocked view of downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond. Giddiness surged through me, starting like a pinprick at my center and moving out through my veins in all directions until even my fingers and toes felt warm. I was really here. I made it. It wasn’t the way I thought it would be, but in the end, it still came out of my time at Harvard. I’d always known that connections made the difference in a career, and here I was. Finally. At the top of the world, looking out. I couldn’t stop grinning. “It’s incredible, isn’t it?” a male voice came from behind me. Still smiling, I glanced up and caught his reflection in the window. And everything disappeared. The world that had buzzed below, the beautiful scene, the excitement that had unfurled through my body—all of it evaporated and all that existed in its place was a pale, hollow shell of myself and the man in the perfectly tailored suit behind me. I turned to look at him directly. Our gazes smashed together, and my legs nearly fell out from under me. “Donovan,” I rasped. It was a miracle that I managed to find enough voice to say that much. And there was so much more that had to be said. So much more that I hadn’t prepared for. Which was ridiculous since I’d talked to him so many times in my head over the years, practiced so many conversations, but never did he show up out of the blue looking so dastardly handsome in a dark gray three-piece suit, his face rugged with scruff, his eyes hazel and earnest despite the playful smirk on his lips. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I wasn’t even sure how to breathe anymore. He broke our gaze to nod out the window at the skyline, walking toward me as he said, “I’m sure you found the Empire.” Though his focus was now on the scenery, I didn’t take my eyes off him as he approached. He didn’t stop until he was right beside me. So close our shoulders would touch if I coughed. Tension ran off him like foam spilling over from a mug of beer. Good tension. Bad tension. I wasn’t sure if there was a difference when it came to Donovan. Which was why I was screwed if he was here. Why the hell was he here? “I thought you were in Tokyo.” I couldn’t stop staring at him. He’d gotten more refined with age, and rougher at the same time. His hair was short and his curls gone, giving him a polished look he lacked before. The lines by his eyes were more defined and his expression seemed harder than I’d remembered. It made him sexier. As if he was a man who needed to be sexier than the one I knew. “I came back two months ago,” he said offhandedly. “That’s it right there.” He leaned his face in close to mine as he pointed to the famous structure. “Do you see it?” Fuck if I cared about the Empire. I was in Donovan Kincaid’s orbit. Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars Amazing! Where do I begin? Wow. Dirty Filthy Rich Men is an explosive and extremely sexy read. I loved the characters but at times I wanted to slap Donovan and Sabrina had me wanting to beat my head against a wall. We pick up ten years after Dirty Filthy Rich Boys let off. Sabrina runs into Weston who ends up offering her a job. Surprised he remembers her, he brings memories up that she has fought for years to forget. Donovan has invaded her dreams all these years, she just can't let him go. These two characters Donovan and Sabrina are really dysfunctional but you can't help being pulled in by them and falling in love with them. Sabrina has tried everything to get Donovan to realize what they are but he stands firm that they are about sex only. No relationship. Can she convince him she's more? I absolutely loved this book. This is a duet so keep in mind there is another book coming and I can't freaking wait to read it. I'm really routing for these two.
Title: Harmless
Series: Pier 70 #4 Author: Nicole Edwards Genre: Adult, MM Romance Published: March 28, 2017
Fourteen months ago August “CAN I BUY you another drink?” Roan Gregory hoped he wasn’t sporting his who me look when he cast a quick glance up and to the left, startled by the offer from… Well. Okay. Not what he’d expected. Standing before him was the sexy guy who’d been checking Roan out since he walked in the door. Discreetly, sure. But Roan’s attention had been unfocused at best. He’d noticed. And yes, this was the same guy Roan had fought hard not to sneak a peek at for the past hour. The guy was totally his type back when he’d had a type. At least in the physical sense. Blond hair, blue eyes, long and lean, with the perfect balance of muscles tossed in. But that was the key. Roan didn’t have a type anymore. He was more interested in ignoring men for the duration. Sexy Guy nodded toward the empty beer bottle in front of Roan. “Another?” As though the guy wasn’t possibly talking to him, Roan continued to stare. Only this time, he was captivated by the seductive smirk on Sexy Guy’s smooth lips. Nice lips. Full, perfect … lips. Obliterating the thought from his sex-starved brain, Roan dropped his gaze down to his beer. Yep, definitely empty. He must’ve drained it when he’d been lost in his own damn thoughts. Unfortunately—no matter what his little head was telling him—he wasn’t interested in company, sexy or otherwise, so he wanted Sexy Guy to go sit back down at the table by the wall where he’d come from. “I’m good.” Shaking his head, Roan avoided the man’s eyes, hoping he would take the hint. “I figured if you’re gonna drown your sorrows, probably should do it right.” If Sexy Guy only knew. Lifting his gaze once more, Roan met the determined steel-blue eyes still studying him. He bit back a retort. Didn’t the guy understand that he wanted to be alone? Seriously, what did he need to do? Hold up a sign that said, Personal Pity Party, No Company Wanted? What the…? Clearly Roan needed to improve his turn-down skills. Sexy Guy surely mistook his I’m good for sure, sit down and join me because, of course, Sexy Guy was now sitting at his table. And he hadn’t bothered to ask. “I promise, I’m harmless.” To reiterate his point, Sexy Guy held up his hands in surrender. Big hands. Nice hands. Perfect hands. Son of a bitch. Now that Roan thought about it, the guy didn’t look harmless. He looked like … well, hell, he looked like temptation. Good thing he’d cut temptation from his diet long ago. Leaning back, Roan tried to appear casual, not wanting to show that he was taken aback by the guy’s forwardness. He also didn’t want the incredibly handsome blond to see that Roan was discreetly attempting to check him out. Mainly, the way that snug charcoal-gray T-shirt stretched across his impressive chest and the way the corded muscles in his neck shifted inconspicuously when he lifted his arm. How discreet he was actually being was anyone’s guess since there was only about three feet between them. Not only was he at least an eleven, Sexy Guy also looked familiar. Eerily so. Only Roan couldn’t place him. Roan shrugged off the thought and continued to stare the guy down. For the past half hour, Roan had been nursing a beer while pretending to watch the baseball game playing on the television closest to him. He wasn’t really paying attention at all because his brain was inundated with how shitty he’d allowed his life to become. In fact, he’d been paying so little attention he had noticed that the handsome man now sitting across from him had been staring his way every so often. After the guy signaled the waitress for two more beers, he turned back to Roan. Bold move considering Roan had already told him he wasn’t interested. Or that had been his meaning anyway. “Colton Seguine,” Sexy Guy said smoothly as he held out his hand. Roan detected an accent, but he couldn’t quite place it. Canadian, maybe? “Not interested,” Roan grumbled, ignoring the introduction, hoping the guy would get it through his thick skull that Roan wasn’t… Wait. Did he say…? The name registered and Roan’s gaze slammed directly into the big guy. Wavy blond hair, a thin scar running through one of his thick eyebrows, pale blue eyes with the perfect balance of gray running through them, a slightly crooked nose, and a jaw that looked as though it had been carved from stone, not to mention sharp cheekbones and those lips… Holy shit. The harmless temptation sitting across from him was none other than a fucking hockey player. Harmless. Right. “You’re Colton Seguine,” Roan muttered, feeling stupid. The guy’s lopsided smirk transformed his face from sexy to … hot as fuck. “That’s what they tell me, but everyone calls me Seg. Unfortunately, I don’t recognize you, so…” Roan held out his hand seeing that Seg’s was resting on the table as though waiting for this moment. “Roan Gregory.” “Nice to meet you, Roan Gregory.” Yes, it was. Seg’s hand was strong, his grip firm. And holy fuck. This was Colton Seguine. Seg. Roan briefly forgot all of his problems as he stared at the defenseman for the Austin Arrows hockey team. He knew the man was big—he’d read his stats a few dozen times—but up close and personal, he was ginormous. Six foot four, two-twenty, if Roan remembered correctly. The waitress interrupted their staring contest when she delivered their beers, and for a few seconds, Roan was caught up in those smoky blue eyes, unable to look away. It no longer mattered that he’d been wallowing in self-pity, trying to get over the fact that nearly four months ago he’d professed his love for his best friend. He no longer felt the chest-constricting pain that had engulfed him as soon as he realized Cam had fallen in love with someone and they were incredibly happy. The pain hadn’t come from the fact that Cam and Gannon were happy. As far as he was concerned, that was a good thing. It came from the fact that Roan had been insecure enough to think he would lose his friendship with the most important person in his life. Only right now, the fact that he’d blurted out that he loved his best friend seemed unimportant—not to mention, completely untrue. Nope. None of it mattered because his brain was misfiring; the only thing he could think about was sex. Sex with this incredibly sexy hockey player. Dirty, rough, highly-erotic sex. And wasn’t that a kick in the nuts? Roan wasn’t the sort to succumb to insta-lust. It usually took him some time to warm up to a guy. A hell of a lot longer than a brief introduction anyway. Roan took a long pull on his beer, breaking the eye contact. This was insane. Why the hell would this guy even be over here? It wasn’t like he was… Nah. No way was this guy gay. Plus, if he was—which he wasn’t—there was no way Seg would know Roan was gay. Seriously. How would he know? They weren’t in a gay bar. And it wasn’t like Roan was wearing his I’m out and proud T-shirt today. The thought had Roan staring at Seg thoughtfully. Did he know Roan was gay? Was it something he broadcasted without realizing it? After glancing around the room cautiously, Seg leaned in and lowered his voice. “What do you say after this beer, I take you back to my place and we have a drink there?” Okay, so maybe along with some finely tuned gaydar, Seg was gay. Not openly, obviously, since Roan distinctly remembered a recent article about Seg and some model chick he’d been dating as of late. Yes, in case there was any confusion, Roan was a fan of the Austin Arrows. Huge fan. Maybe Seg was bisexual? Roan let that thought roll around for a few seconds. He didn’t do bisexual. He had absolutely no intention of being with some guy who would wake up the next morning, crying and whining because he was so fucking confused about his life. Pussy or dick, it wasn’t that hard to figure out which you preferred. Not to mention, Roan didn’t need that shit on top of everything else he was dealing with. Leaning closer, mirroring Seg’s posture, Roan shook his head. “I’m pretty sure”—he tilted his head toward the waitress—“she’s more your type.” Seg leaned even closer. “I’m pretty sure … you’re dead wrong.” Roan sat up straight, taking another pull on his beer as he studied this man. Here was a guy Roan had watched play for years. A guy who was as masculine as they came. A guy who was now sitting here, in this sports bar, coming on to him. He was coming on to him, right? Roan had been out of the game a long time; maybe he was imagining it. He instantly thought about Cam. About how Roan had damn near fucked up their friendship because of his momentary lapse in judgement. His stupid freak out had nearly cost him the most important person in his life. Then he thought about his sister and her fucking drug problem. And his father, who was beside himself on how to help her. His stepmother, who had threatened to leave his father if they didn’t find a way to get Cassie some help. A fucking mess was what his life had been reduced to. No way should Roan add fucking a hockey player to that long list of screwed-up bullshit. Clearly Seg sensed Roan was considering the idea. “One night. No strings.” Nope, no mistaking that come-on. Roan considered it. No-strings sex. Was there even such a thing? Roan adjusted his position, trying not to give the idea the merit it deserved, but unable to help himself. A one-night stand with a hot hockey player. Who could really say no to that? More importantly, who would? His world was crumbling down around him, and this guy was offering him an opportunity to forget about it for a little while. An opportunity he’d be stupid to pass up. “One night?” Roan confirmed. Seg nodded. “Tomorrow we pretend this never happened?” Another nod. Downing what was left of his beer, Roan reached for his wallet, pulled out a couple of twenties, and slapped them on the table before getting to his feet. “I’ll follow you,” he told Seg. The grin on Seg’s face made Roan’s dick jump to life. Oh, yeah. This was definitely a good decision.

Harmless by Nicole Edwards
My rating: 5 of 5 stars So worth waiting for.... Another great book by Nicole Edwards. I absolutely love this series and honestly I didn't think it could get any better after Speechless. But, oh was I wrong! Harmless is everything! Everything! We were dying for Roan's story and oh what a great story it is. Take a hot troubled guy, add a hockey player and a baby and you get perfection. Roan and Seg are perfect together. Their chemistry is off the charts and have me screaming for more. I can't get enough of these two, towards the end of the book I read extremely slow because I didn't want it to end. I love m/m books and honestly not everyone can write a good one but the way Nicole does it is flawless. Yes they are hot but more then that she brings all the feels. She pulls at your heart and gives you the best characters and stories. I highly recommend Harmless and the rest of the books in the Pier 70 series. You won't be disappointed.

Excerpt
Bristyl Holy hells bells. I’m not sure if I should be pissed that my brothers and father left me to deal with this mess or thank them for the gorgeous eye candy. Not that I would, because they’d have a fit either way, but damn. Maybe it’s my mom smiling down on me, giving me a ray of sunshine through this mess. All three of the guys are hot in their own way. By the cuts on their backs, they belong to the Ravage Motorcycle Club. Here for the rally, of course, and will be gone in a flash. That’s how it is. What the hell, I’ll enjoy the view while I can. I sop up the water and wring out the mop head, then repeat … again and again. Ryker, who boldly introduced himself, is a player. Yep, seen hundreds of them in my day growing up in the club. Tattoos, sexy vibe … I bet he doesn’t even have to ask women, just crooks his finger. The other man, who I’m not sure his name, looks a little lighter in a way, but I’m not sure how to describe it. Cooper, though. My heavens. Talk about charismatic, and I got that just from the few words he spoke to me. Hell, I get it just from being in the same room with him. It’s like he oozes it out of his pores, releasing it out in the world for women to fall at his feet and beg. Then there’s the hair. I can’t call it light, and it’s definitely not dark. It’s a unique combination of the two; light browns intertwined with a few darker browns, giving his hair a shade I haven’t seen before. Like a caramel color with an edge, and long. So much so that he has a hair tie wrapped around his wrist. No doubt he puts it up regularly. I’d put money on it only amping up his sexiness. When our eyes connected for that brief moment, the blue popped out in his. I also noticed some navy around the edges. That combination of hair and eyes … Be still my deprived heart. The way his pants ride low on his hips makes me want to give up all kinds of things to get him to raise his arms above his head so his black T-shirt rises up and I can see what’s underneath. He has tattoos running all up his left arm, disappearing under his shirt. I can see some black poking through the top at his neck, too. It piques my curiosity, wanting to find out what he’s hiding. I shake my head and squeeze out the mop. It’s been way too long since … Never mind.
Bound by Family by Ryan Michele
My rating: 5 of 5 stars Cooper! I absolutely loved this book! I adored Ravage before but this next generation of Ravage had me at the first chapter. These characters are some of the best out there and now to get stories on the kids all grown up is wonderful. Cooper oh Cooper. What's not to love. He's the kind of character we all love. He's a sexy alpha who loves his family, blood or not. When a chance meeting has his coming face to face with Bristyl something in him snaps. Usually he uses women for his needs never taking the time to get to know them but this time is different. He can't seem to get her off his mind. Bristyl's whole family thing is very messed up. While reading I was screaming at her Dad and brothers. I was shocked at what they wanted from her but extremely proud she stood up for herself. I've read all Ryan's MC books and this has got to be my favorite. I loved how original it was especially with the whole Bristyl part. This is a definite five star book! I loved absolutely everything about it and the writing was phenomenal.

Not that I was paying much attention to the words coming out of his mouth. I was much more interested in the way his muscles flexed beneath the skintight Body Glove wetsuit he wore. As he pushed himself up into a standing position, my gaze traveled down the broad expanse of his back and down to his ass. “See how my dominant leg is in the back, and— Ace? Are you paying attention?” “Mhmm,” I murmured as I bit down on my lower lip and continued my perusal. Dylan turned to face me, and his hands went to his hips. “Oh yeah?” he said when I looked up. “What did I just say?” Taking a step forward, I gave him a cocky grin and tugged him off the surfboard and onto the sand until he was flush against me. Then I let my hands roam down over the firm, round muscles of his ass. “Something about being a dominant in the back,” I said, nipping at his lobe. “So why don’t you turn around?” A groan of frustration left Dylan then, but his head tilted to the side to let my lips trail down his neck. “You’re not gonna feel so cocky when you can’t get up on that board.” “Oh, I can always get it up, don’t you worry.” His hands covered my chest and he gently pushed me away. “How about you prove it, hotshot?” Then he pointed to the longboard I’d rented for the weekend. “Why don’t you show me how it’s done.” “It’s more fun watching you.” “Ace. Get your ass on that board.” I squinted in the sun and grinned. “You gonna be this bossy all weekend?” “If you’re lucky.” I took a step back so I was by my board, and crossed my arms. I had my wetsuit on, but it was still undone and hanging around my hips while Dylan walked me through this process step by step, and my move had the desired effect. He rubbed a hand up the back of his neck and over his hair, leaving it tousled and oh so sexy. “What?” I asked. “I’m back on my side of the board.” “Don’t try and act innocent with me, Locke. I’m trying to teach you a new skill. One that will keep you from hurting yourself. And you’re standing there being all…” He waved his hand up and down, gesturing to my exposed upper body. “Yes?” “See. Stop it,” he said, and then pointed to the board. “And zip up that damn wetsuit so I can’t see all your muscles.” I arched a brow as I moved to slip my arms through the stretchy synthetic material, and when I reached for the zipper and pulled it up to the base of my skull, Dylan groaned. “Okay, that’s almost worse than no wetsuit.” “I’m sorry. You’re not checking me out, are you? Because you’re supposed to be paying close attention to teaching me something that could save my life,” I said as I turned around and made a show of bending down to get on the board. “You having fun right now?” Dylan asked. “Maybe a little.” “Yeah, well, let’s hope that holds true when the wave dumps you on your ass.” I let out a sigh and gripped the board just as he’d told me, because the truth of the matter was, I had never surfed a day in my life. I grew up in Chicago, for God’s sake. But Dylan, with his sun-kissed hair, long, lean body, and eyes the color of the sea, looked right at home with the sun shining down on him as his feet sank into the sand by my head. “Let’s try this a couple more times here on land, and then we’ll get you out in the water. We won’t have you trying to stand up just yet. But if you can get the hang of at least catching the wave into the shore, we might be able to progress.” He crouched down and said, “Remember, toes on the tail of the board and grip the rails, and then push up.” As I did as he instructed, I paused in the push-up position and was rewarded when he leaned in and took my lips in a sweet kiss. “Again,” he whispered, and I moved back down to repeat the move, and this time when I paused, I was rewarded with a deeper kiss. When he pulled away too soon, I grumbled and he laughed, straightening. “Any more of that and we won’t make it into the water. On your feet, Locke, it’s time to hit the waves.”Read Today!(Free in Kindle Unlimited) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/2n8U5K7 Amazon UK: https://goo.gl/24Xmoh Add to GoodReads: https://goo.gl/WLH3bh Start the series!ACEDAmazon US: http://amzn.to/2nDdyTl Amazon UK: https://goo.gl/FtPd17 LOCKEDAmazon US: http://amzn.to/2n0GEh5 Amazon UK: https://goo.gl/wLbAO3 About Ella Frank:Ella Frank is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Temptation series, including Try, Take, and Trust. Between the Secrets by S. Ferguson
Release Date: March 16th, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance Between the Secrets, an all-new MM romance by S. Ferguson is available now!!
Sometimes the past won’t let you escape no matter how much your future wants you to.
Jake James lives in the shadows of his shame. The guilt for what he’s done, for what was done to him, has left him hollow and haunted. Greg Bissen just wants Jake to let him in, having accepted who he is a long time ago, he is desperate to break through Jake's defenses. When danger and an agonizing loss threatens to tear them apart, will Jake let the burdens of his past crush him? Or can love really conquer all, even if it’s hiding in between the secrets? Excerpt: I hear a clatter, pulling me out of my own head, as Jake tries to yank the dusty cloth off the stove. That’s enough of that shit. I don’t know if the stove is still connected to the gas and I don’t feel like dying in a giant fireball tonight. Marching up to Jake, I grab his shoulders and try to steer him toward the back door, but he isn’t having it. Spinning around, he puts us chest to chest. I swallow the sudden lump in my throat. Does he know? Of course he doesn’t. The tension between us has been rising to a boiling point. Our chemistry is so much deeper than just friendship. Jake’s walls come down when he drinks, but I have never dared to hope for a moment like this. “There isn’t any food,”Jake pouts, his baby face making him look like an adorable child—a child I want to smack and kiss, in no particular order. I’m tired too and ready to go home. But I know Jake won’t drop his hunt for food. We’ve been down this road before. I sigh in defeat. “I’ll take you to Waffle House,”I whisper. I’ll push aside my tiredness for Jake. I would do almost anything for him. This moment feels intimate, being in the dark alone with him in my arms. It’s pretty much every dream I’ve ever had come true. “Greg…”Jake’s voice trails off. I can just barely see in the dim light, but it looks like his eyes are focused on my lips. “Fuck, don’t look at me like that.”It’s only a half-hearted protest. More of me wants this than not. And that’s the problem. Jake doesn’t speak. He just leans forward and then, after a brief hesitation, pushes his lips to mine. My entire body stiffens, afraid to move. God I hope this isn’t some drunken mistake on his part. My hands lock into their position resting on his shoulders. I’m so nervous I’ll spook him. I know his history, probably better than most. I don’t know if he realizes what he’s doing. I know I’m a bastard for not pushing him away, and despite all these thoughts, about ninety percent of the blood in my body is rushing south. Jake ignores the fact that I’ve frozen on my feet. Slanting his head, his tongue teases my bottom lip, asking me to open up. And I do. Oh my God, I do. He wraps his arms around the back of my neck, pulling us even closer. I can feel I’m not the only one aroused by this, his erection pushing against mine through our dress pants. He moans when he feels my hard-on pushing back, and that’s all I need to thaw. I move my left hand up to the back of his head and take control of the kiss. I don’t even think about it; I lower my right hand to rub him through his pants. Despite the material between us, I can feel how hard he is. I feel the heat coming off of him. He moans long and low into my mouth, thrusting himself into my hand. I curse as I manage to undo his button and fly with one hand, mentally high-fiving myself for the coordination, and reach past the layers of fabric to grip him. He’s just as big as I thought he would be. Smooth skin over something hard enough to hammer nails. I run my hand from his base to tip. I had already known from plenty of times in the men’s room together that he was uncut, but feeling it like this makes me want to do so many dangerous things to him. I wonder how he would feel about me nibbling on… A sudden crash scares the shit out of us. I rip my mouth from Jake’s and we both turn our heads to our left at the same time. Ron is standing in the doorway. Despite the shitty lighting, I can see his heaving chest. His eyes are wide and he's holding his gun. This is not good. This is so not fucking good.

Between the Secrets by S. Ferguson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars I love mafia books but even more I love m/m books, so when I saw them thrown together I knew this was a book I just had to read. And I'm so glad I did. This is my first book by this author so I really didn't know what to expect. What I got? Was a great emotional, sexy and thrilling read. Jake and Greg are best friends and brothers in the mafia. They work together and live together so when Greg knows he has to tell Jake that he has feelings for him he wonders if things will change. Jake had a terrible childhood. One that still haunts him now. The only thing that helps him get through his nightmares is his best friend. Waking in the middle of the night and having Greg hold him is the only thing that has gotten him through. This is a wonderful friends to lover book. It does touch on abuse so if that is a trigger for you this might not be the book for you. But I loved it and highly recommend it for those m/m lovers like myself.

That he didn’t trust for one second. Connor was sure this was going to be a look but don’t touch deal with her lathering up those gorgeous legs of hers while he sat there like a schmuck. Staring, no doubt. He narrowed his eyes and began silently listing all the ways he was going to pay her back for this when her two-week stay here was up. Slapping an unaffected look on his face, he passed her the lotion, forcibly blocking all the erotic lotion-inspired images that were attempting to take over his brain. Evil woman. Only a day into their no-sex agreement and already he was closer to begging than he cared to admit. While avoiding direct eye contact with the skin smoothing extravaganza, his gaze strayed to the partially open plastic bag sitting atop her dresser. It was over at the other end but he recognized the hot purple logo on the bag immediately. Just like that, every muscle in his body stopped working. Well, save one, that is. The bag was from an adult novelty shop his friend Kim owned just a little north of here. He could only make out two of the items in the bag but they were enough to send his blood pressure skyrocketing—the first was what looked to be the tiniest pair of sheer white panties that would effectively cover nothing and, Lord help him, a silver bullet vibrator. He was going to have a stroke. Stifling a groan over how the word ‘stroke’ instantly made him think about rubbing one off, he gripped the edge of the dresser like a man possessed. The door was just a few feet away. He could make it. But first he needed to get some much needed air into his lungs. Breathe, you moron! He dragged in a breath. And that’s when he heard it. The tiniest whisper of a giggle. “Why you little—” Connor lunged at Abby as she shrieked out in laughter and tried ducking around him to make for the door. Snatching her around the waist, he hoisted her cackling body up over his shoulder and tossed her back onto the bed. “You set me up.” Her giggles effervesced, the unliddable glee in her eyes giving zero credence to all her perfectly scandalized denials. He trapped her under him, burying his grin against the curve of her neck, reveling in the unfamiliar experience of having fun with a woman in bed without sex being a factor. As he skimmed a smile over her collarbone, he felt the gasp she couldn’t contain like a shot of spiked adrenaline racing through his veins. Heading straight for his heart. It took more effort than usual to block its path.Keep reading to check out each book! The first three books are a TRILOGY and the fourth book is a STANDALONE spin-off! Title: Plucker
Series: Recoil Rock Series #2
Author: KE Osborn
Genre: Rocker Romance
Release: March 9, 2017
“Yet another perfectly, in-depth, emotionally charged novel by KE Osborn that had me completely captured.” - Bloggers from Down Under “I really loved the rocky road this couple traveled.” - Goodreads Review “I liked Pick, but I really loved Plucker. I loved the characters, mainly Tillie and Lunar. I could feel their emotions in the words.” - Goodreads Review
Death—it is inevitable, but I didn't know it could come so early.
If things didn't change, mine would be sooner than expected.
My life hasn't been easy, though with the way I act you’d think it has been.
I'm a joker, a partier, a playboy, a prankster. But I'm also broken.
A shell of a man.
Ryan Hunter, lead guitarist with nothing to live for.
Not even music soothes me completely.
My band is back together, we're doing really well—but I'm in a rut.
I'm lost, thinking about my past is swallowing me whole.
Especially since she turned up.
Our new PR manager. She’s feisty, in control and so damn sexy I can't stand it.
But that woman is not only taking my PR role from me, she's also taking my breath away, and that I won't stand for.
Not with my past, not with my demons.
Tillie Marks has to go.
And I will make damn sure it happens!
Australian author K E Osborn was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. With a background in graphic design and a flair for all things creative, she felt compelled to write the story brewing in her mind.
Writing gives her life purpose. It makes her feel, laugh, cry and get completely enveloped in the characters and their story lines. She feels completely at home when writing and wouldn’t consider doing anything else.
Plucker by K.E. Osborn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars I have been waiting on this book. With the taste we got in the last one I have been patiently waiting for Ryan's story. And oh gosh it is everything I thought it would be. Having lost his wife and child in a car wreck years ago, Ryan swore off relationships. Knowing he could never go through that kind of loss again, he has purposely avoided getting close with anyone. His life spiraling out of control effected his health, he knows he has to get his life back, get in shape before it kills him. Tilly is brought in to handle the bands PR. That's always been Ryan's job and he isn't happy about turning over the reigns to her. He has done everything including childish pranks to get her to quit. But she's no quitter. The banter between these two is hysterical. I love how she takes what he throws at her and pushes it right back to him. This book is funny, sexy and emotional. I had all the feels with it and absolutely loved it. So excited for the next book! |
