“With so many shocking surprises and twists I flew through this book reading it all in one sitting. Something about L. Wilder's deliciously sexy bikers gets me every time.” ~Britt Red Hatter Book Blog “L. Wilder always gives us the most amazing MC stories. I haven't read a single book of hers that didn't Capture my attention.” ~Shelia's Book Corner “L. Wilder has a talent for spinning a magnificent story, and Riggs was no exception. I loved the dynamic between these two characters, and it was awesome to see the original Fury brothers return!” ~Book Club Gone Wrong
I was all about getting in. Getting out.
No feelings. No expectations.
No complications … until her.
After just one night, Reece Winters had me thinking of white picket fences and station wagons, but I let my pride get come between us and she walked away.
Trouble was on the horizon.
It was only a matter of time before it came knocking at our door. The club was planning for it. Ready for it. Prepared for it, and so was I.
I wasn’t prepared for fate to bring her back into my life, and I certainly wasn’t prepared for the secrets that she brought with her- secrets that would connect us in ways I couldn’t begin to imagine.
Secrets that could destroy us all.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but unlike the other guys, there’s no great story behind my road name.” I let out a deep breath as I continued, “My brothers started calling me Riggs when they saw all the different hard drives, network boards, and other gadgets I used for hacking. At first, they wanted to know how it all worked, but none of them really understood what I was talking about, much less what I was doing with them. Eventually, they’d just tell me to ‘rig’ up something to get us out of a bind, and when I did, they started calling me Riggs.”
“If you ask me, I think it’s a great name and a great story behind it … but if it’s all the same to you, I’m just going to keep calling you Jackson.” “Baby, you can call me anything you want.” She giggled as she asked, “What about pumpkin or sweet cheeks?” “I was thinking more along the lines of stud or sexy beast.” “Oh, I could definitely get behind stud muffin.” She giggled. “Stud muffin?” “Or we could just stick with Jackson. Whatever you think.” “I’ll tell you what, you can call me whatever you want, but be prepared for me to do the same for you, sugarplum.” She cringed as she said, “Oh God no! Sugarplum is just bad. Really, really bad.” “Yeah, maybe you’re right. Give me some time. I’ll come up with something.” “Um-hmm, I’m sure you will.” She laughed. “Just try to steer away from anything that starts with sugar.” “I’ll do my best.” When I glanced over at her and saw the smile on her face, I couldn’t imagine anything more beautiful. Reece was my kind of perfect, and I’d known it from the first moment I laid eyes on her. I could search the world over and I’d never find anyone who could compare to Reece, who could make my life so utterly complete, and I had every intention of holding on to her. If ever I’d done anything right in my life, it was giving my heart to Reece Winters.
Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Leslie has been blown away by the support of her readers, appreciating every message, review, and encouraging word she’s received over the past year. She looks forward to continuing this journey with them for years to come.

Even as a kid, I knew the kind of hell the world could dish out. I grew to expect the worst and learned to face it head on. When I became Satan’s Fury’s new enforcer, I knew I could handle whatever came my way—until Alex Carpenter, the gorgeous book store owner who brought color into my world of gray.
The club was at war, fighting an unknown enemy, and she was a distraction I didn’t need nor want. My focus should’ve been on my brothers and our latest adversary, but I felt an unexplainable pull towards her. Her beauty and innocence captivated me, and just being near her made the shadows of my past seem less daunting. Without even realizing it, I let her in, but as we grew closer, I quickly realized that her walls were even more guarded than my own.
Like me, Alex had a past filled with secrets. Could our broken souls find a way to mend together, or would we remain imprisoned by our past?
I heard the loud rumble of several motorcycles approaching, and as they got closer, I noticed something familiar about one of the men. Even in the pitch black of night, I knew it was him—the hot biker from the bookstore. I stood frozen in place as he and his friend whipped past me.
A black SUV pulled in right behind them and they all parked near the front door of Newman’s. I watched in awe as he got off his motorcycle and removed his helmet. He turned to look in my direction, and as those penetrating blue eyes locked on mine, all my sense of reason seemed to just wash away. I couldn’t move. My pulse was racing, my palms were sweating, and my hormones were raging. He looked so damn good with his dark hair tousled, and it was impossible not to notice how his jeans clung to him in all the right places. I was a complete mess. No man had ever had such an effect on me. I didn’t like it. I wanted to get into my car and shake it off, but when I realized that he was leaving his two friends to walk in my direction, my mind and body just wouldn’t cooperate. I simply stood there like a total idiot.
After he finally made his way over to me, I was surprised by his furrowed brow and intense expression. He just stood there staring at me for several seconds, and having no idea what else to do, I mumbled, “It’s you.”
“Yeah. It’s me.”
“I’m sorry … I don’t actually know your name.”
“It’s Shadow.” Before I could respond, he took a quick glance around the parking lot and asked, “You out here alone?”
“Yeah … I was just about to head home.”
“You shouldn’t be out here by yourself. It’s not safe,” he growled.
Surprised by his fierce tone, I became even more nervous and started to ramble. “I’m okay. My friends are inside. We were watching the band. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of them … the Smoking Guns. They’re pretty good. Not exactly my thing. A little loud for my taste. Not the loudest one I’ve ever been to, but close. At least I had an excuse to leave early … I have a shipment coming in tomorrow morning, so I need to be at the store early. What about you? Are you here to see the band, too?”
“Not exactly.” Without giving further explanation, he asked, “Where’s your car?”
“Um … it’s right over there,” I answered as I pointed in its direction.
He leaned to the side as he looked around me and grimaced, clearly not impressed by the state of my vehicle. “That’s your car?”
“Yeah. I know it’s not much, but it gets me to where I’m going.”
Just when I thought the moment couldn’t get any more uncomfortable, Jason stepped out of the bar, and as he glared at the burly biker standing next to me, he shouted, “Hey, Alex? You okay?”
“Yeah. I’m good. I was just about to leave.” When he didn’t move, I said, “You’re going to miss the closer if you don’t go back inside.”
“You’re sure you’re okay?”
“Yes, Jason. I’m fine.”
“Okay. Don’t forget to text me when you get home.”
“I will. Don’t worry.”
Once he was gone, I turned my attention back to my biker. He studied me for a moment, his eyes lingering on my mouth for only a fleeting moment; then, without saying a word, he started walking towards my car. Having no idea what he was doing, I just stood there trying to wrap my head around exactly what was happening. He turned around and looked over at me then said, “I thought you were leaving.”
“I am.” He cocked his eyebrow as he motioned his hand towards the driver’s side door. Feeling like a complete idiot, I rushed over to him and quickly unlocked my door.
He watched me get inside and asked, “You okay to drive?”
“Yes, I’m fine.” He again stared at me for a moment like he was trying to decide if I really was okay. “Seriously. I had one beer two hours ago. I’m fine.”
“Good.”
I expected him to step back, but he just stood there looking down at me. I felt warm all over, my heart was pounding so loudly that I was certain he could hear it. I felt my face turning red, and not wanting him to see my body’s reaction to him, I said, “Your motorcycle is really something. I bet it’s awesome to ride on a night like this.”
“It is.”
“Okay, well … I guess I better get going.” With a bit of hesitation, I put my hand on the door handle and as I started to close it, I said, “Thanks for walking me to my car.”
His expression softened as he moved out of the way and said, “Be careful.”
“I will. Thanks.”
After I closed the door, I gave him a smile and a quick wave goodbye, then started my engine. As I pulled out of the parking lot, I glanced up at my rearview mirror, and a chill ran down my spine when I noticed he was still standing in the same spot, watching intently as I drove out onto the main road.
“Damn,” I muttered to myself.

Collection Title: The Happy Endings Collection
Titles: My Temptation ~ Bring The Heat ~ His Promise
Author: L. Wilder
Genre: RomCom
After one too many disappointments in and out of the bedroom, I’d all but given up on men. While I was doubtful that therapy would change anything, I had to try something.
As soon as I walked into Dr. Seth Michaels’ office, temptation set in. With his piercing green eyes and devilish smile, the handsome doctor was every woman’s fantasy, including mine.
He tempted me in ways that I never dreamed possible, but some lines just can’t be crossed. With a newfound libido, I left his office thinking I would never see him again, but fate and a meddling mother had other plans.
Tucker Michaels could bring the heat, striking out anyone who stepped up to the plate, and he was burning up the big leagues.
At least, that’s what I was told.
I had no idea who Tucker Michaels was, and I honestly didn’t care. From the moment I met him, I thought he was an arrogant, smart-mouthed jerk.
I’ll admit he was hot—if you’re into those gorgeous, athletic types, but there was no mistaking the way he looked at me, like I was about to be his next grand slam.
Unfortunately for him, he was about to be the one to strike out. I had no interest in playing games, especially when he was helping my little brother’s baseball team.
… But after a week from hell and one too many drinks, I was starting to see another side of the sexy, charismatic player.
After the devastating loss of my wife and daughter, I did everything in my power to guard my heart, making everyone, including myself, believe I no longer had one. I focused on my work and kept everyone at a distance. It was the only way I could face the day.
I had no time for distractions, but the day Langley, my legal assistant, asked for help with her custody battle there was no way I could refuse. When I was at my worst, she was there to pick up the pieces, making sure I didn’t lose the only thing I had left—my career.
Now, it was my turn to ensure she didn’t lose the one thing she cared about most—her children.
I promised to help, but I had no way of knowing that one promise would turn my entire world upside down. With the help of her two kids, she chiseled away at the walls I’d worked so hard to build, and I found myself wanting the one thing I thought was out of my reach—another chance at love.
EXCERPT FROM HIS PROMISE
I sat in my car and took several deep breaths, trying to collect myself before I headed inside. When I finally walked into the house, I found Beatrice sitting at the kitchen counter. She was still in her little, red flannel pajamas, and her curly hair was down around her face. She had a crayon in one hand and an oatmeal cookie in the other, and as soon as she saw me heading in her direction, she sat up in her chair and smiled. "Hi, Mr. Colton. I'm making you a picture for your refrigerator."
And just like that, my bad mood started to falter. I walked over to the counter, and when I looked over her shoulder, I saw that she was drawing a picture of man wearing a suit. When I noticed the dark hair, I realized it was a picture of me.
"Looking good, kid." "It's you."
"I see that, but you're missing my beard."
"That's because I don't like your beard," she replied innocently.
"You don't?"
She shook her head as she bit her bottom lip. "It makes you look a little scary. I like you better without it."
"Scary?" I ran my hand over my chin, tugging at the bristles of my beard. "You really think so?"
"Umm-hmmm. And it makes you look kind of old."
"Old? Really?" I asked with surprise.
"Yes, sir, but just a little. Not like Santa Claus kind of old."
Damn. The kid knew how to hit a guy where it hurts. She looked up at me with those dark eyes of hers, and I couldn't help but smile. "Gee … thanks, kid."
She studied me for a moment before she asked, "I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings?"
"No, Beatrice," I told her as I opened the refrigerator. "You can't hurt my feelings, because I don't have any feelings to hurt."
Just as I reached for the jug of tea, she laughed. "That's funny."
"Why's that?"
"Everybody has feelings, Mr. Colton." She stood up and handed me the picture she'd been working on. "Even you."
I glanced down at the picture and was surprised to see that she'd added my beard. When I looked back over to her, she was walking towards the stairs. "Thanks for the picture, Beatrice."
She turned back just long enough to say, "Don't forget to put it on the fridge, so everyone can see it."
"You got it."
I walked over to the refrigerator door and as I reached for a magnet, I took a moment to look at my portrait. There was something familiar about the man in the drawing, something that gave me a strange feeling when I looked at it. As I stood there staring at it, I suddenly felt overcome with emotion. After several moments, I realized that the man with big, dark eyes, a thick, bushy beard, and a goofy grin used to be me. It had been so long since I'd seen that side of me that I'd almost forgotten he even existed. I missed it. I missed having a reason to smile, a reason to be truly happy, and I wondered if I would ever have it again. I was lost in my thoughts, when Langley walked up behind me. "It turned out pretty good, don't you think?"
Trying to collect myself, I cleared my throat before I replied, "The kid's got talent. She made me look good, and that's saying something."
"I think she did a great job with your beard." She snickered.
"What is it with you two and my beard?"
"I like your beard. It makes you look … distinguished."
"Um-hmm," I scoffed.
"Seriously. I like the beard." As I watched the corners of her mouth curl into a smile, I found myself thinking of the kiss we'd shared the night before. There was this moment, just before our lips touched, where I felt the world stop spinning, and for an ever-so-brief moment, anticipation hung in the air. It was just a moment, a mere blink, but it was so intense I could feel it pulling me towards her. When our lips finally touched, that feeling didn't dissipate. Instead, it grew stronger as I felt her warm, soft mouth pressed against mine, and when I finally released her from our embrace, I had to fight the urge to reach for her and kiss her all over again. I felt an unexpected connection between us, and I couldn't help but wonder if she'd felt it, too.

His Promise by L. Wilder
My rating: 4 of 5 stars Sweet fast pace read. What a great little read. I loved the story line, it was sweet but emotional. I liked that it was original and the characters Langley and Colton belong together. Their relationship may not have started put very traditional but these two are amazing together. And to me when a book has kids in it, it’s a definite winner. I really enjoyed it. View all my reviews

Ellie:
I never dreamed that I’d end up at a motorcycle club, especially one as notorious as the Satan’s Fury MC, but that’s exactly where I’d found myself. They were supposed to be vicious, cold-blooded killers, but after an accident that nearly took my life, they opened their doors to me, treating me with nothing but kindness.

Readers World Book Haven- This was a beautiful story, told sometimes with such heart breaking, gut wrenching emotion, tears are inevitable and then there's tears of joy as everything falls into its rightful place. Tissues are a must. Author Chiah Wilder- L. Wilder wrote a beautiful story about second chances, understanding, and forgiveness. She's given the reader a seamless story with well developed characters who will stay with you well after the last page. “Do you really think we can do that?” “I think what we have is worth fighting for. We’ve both made our mistakes, and over time, we’ll make more. But we’ve got to learn from them and find a way to move on. It won’t always be easy, but together I believe we can do anything.” I gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Besides, you’re my goose. I don’t want to live my life without you.” Max reached for me, pulling me towards him and pressed his lips against mine; then he kissed me with all the love he’d kept bottled up inside of him for the past ten years. It was soft and tender and filled with promise. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer until there was no space left between us. Being with him felt like home, and my entire body melted into his. I’d imagined this moment so many times, but I never dreamed it would feel this wonderful. The boy I’d once known was now a strong, self-assured man, and I couldn’t get enough of him. A low moan escaped through my parted lips as he kissed me deeper, and suddenly everything changed, becoming frantic and full of need. We were about to get carried away, when Max suddenly broke the kiss. Our breaths were short and strained as he rested his forehead against mine. “Are you sure about this?”

My rating: 5 of 5 stars Second change at its best! I absolutely love this authors books, and with each one she grows so much as an author. Max's Redemption turned me into a blubbering fool. They both greeted each other and never totally gotten over the other. So when they run into each other years later the feelings are still there.... but so is the issue that made Max push her away. These two were made for each other and i really loved their story. Second change stories are one of my favorite genres and the author did a wonderful job with this one. It's a definite must read.

Survival. It was the driving force that kept me going when our world as we knew it was ripped away from us in one horrific night. I didn’t know who brutally killed my parents or why, but when the vicious killers turned their focus onto my brother and sister, I did the only thing I knew to do: I ran.
I packed them up and left everything we knew and loved behind and headed for Memphis.
Clutch
The club was my life. I’d do anything for my brothers. Hell, I’ve taken more than a couple of bullets for them and I’d do it again. But I needed to step away to clear my head. I pushed the throttle forward and headed down south with one goal in mind: to fulfill Cotton’s orders and establish the route for the club’s new pipeline.
Doing my job was my only focus until I saw her working in that diner down on Front Street. She had fire in her eyes and bite to her tongue -- and she was absolutely breathtaking. Full of class and spunk, the girl was out of my league. What was she doing working at a diner in Memphis, Tennessee? She was a mystery to me, and even though my gut told me she was hiding something, I felt a pull to her that I could not deny.
“HOLY CLUTCH!!! Dang I have been waiting for this story. And the wait was worth it!” ~Justa Booklovinjunkie “I can't even put into words how much I love this book. Author L. Wilder has been my favorite mc author from her very first book. This book, THIS BOOK IS IT! It is the most amazing book she has ever written.” ~Book Club Gone Wrong
