sacred-sins-reboot-400

You know what they say about family.

Blood is thicker than water.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

A house divided cannot stand.

Margie is the keeper of her family’s secrets.

Six sisters and one brother.

Billions in assets.

Generations of malfeasance.

And one heartbreaking secret kept by three people.

Margie.

Her father, Declan.

And Drew—the man she loves.

You know what they say about secrets.

Three can keep them if two are Drazens.

There's never been a Drazen who went down without a fight. And there's never been one who didn't fight for love.

Excerpt:

“Drew?” I said into the darkness. “Indiana Andrew McCaffrey, stop fucking with me. I’m in no mood.” My eyes adjusted. I stepped farther in, letting my hand drift over the counter edge. They’d changed it to cheap flipper granite. The cabinets were presswood veneer. But still, I touched them as if they were original Douglas fir and my name was Cin. “Margaret.” His voice didn’t surprise me. I didn’t jump ten feet or stiffen with shock when I saw his silhouette against the doorframe. Hearing him was a relief. The binds keeping my shit together weren’t unknotted completely, but they loosened. I hadn’t felt tense in a long time because I was so used to being in a state of taut readiness. “Indy.” His stage name came from my lips without a thought. “I’m glad you came.” Sixteen years, and he was glad I came. Fuck him.

About CD Reiss

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine. _21A6258_pp-fb

Over the Edge (The Edge, #4)Over the Edge by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Perfect ending!

Even though I’m sad to see this series end, the author has giving us the perfect ending. Greyson and Caden have stolen our hearts with this gritty story. Its original and will have you thinking messed up thoughts.

Greyson is convinced she’s going to save her husband. In order to save him, she must be saved herself and Caden is just the one to do it. These two are devoted and totally in love with each other. They will do anything for the other.

This is the best series I’ve read in a while. It’s so messed with beautiful characters. I couldn’t get enough and will definitely re-read it. I highly recommend it.

ONTHE EDGE BT BANNER.jpg

“This series grips you by the throat and refuses to let go—and you’ll be begging for more the entire time.” -- Sierra Simone, USA Today Bestselling Author

On the Edge, the next intense installment in The Edge Series from New York Times bestselling author CD Reiss, is available now!

On-the-edge-two-final “In Iraq, I promised you a bed of rose petals.” He grabbed my hand under the table, tightening his grip as if he were falling from a precipice and our connection was the only thing saving him from certain death. “They were beautiful.” “You smell like apples. Roses were wrong.” There was nothing soft about his tone, but his quiet words were for me alone. “I want everything to be right for you.” “Caden, look at me.” I caught his gaze and held it. He was confident. Arrogant. Sure he had a place in the world. And under that was the man who needed me to be that place. “If I could…” He smiled and shook his head at a silly thought he wanted to dismiss but couldn’t—a contradiction in keeping with the whole man I married. “If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn’t be big enough. I’d run out of room. I’d fall out of the air trying to say it all.” He was saying it all. Every day. And he was falling out of the sky to do it. on-the-edge-teaser-beat-heart_preview.jpg

On the Edge (The Edge, #2)On the Edge by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh. My. God.

This series has totally consumed me. It’s riveting, it’s in your face and gritty. I am so involved in Caden and Greyson’s marriage that I feel like I’m married to them too. I don’t want to give anything away but my heart goes out to Greyson. I don’t see how she does it and gosh Caden I am so in love with him, all of him, that I want to grab him and hold him forever.
This is one of those series that will pull you in and slap the crap out of you. Yeah read it and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Now these end with cliffhangers so if you can’t handle those don’t cry about it later, you were warned. Pull your big girl panties up, sit back and enjoy.

Excerpt:

In the dark, during the fundraising video, she leaned into me, taking my hand. “What’s going on?” “Nothing.” “Caden.” My name was more than a statement. It was a comment on how well she knew the animal, and how well she loved it. If eyes could listen, hers did, gazing at me in the darkness. I couldn’t lie to her for much longer. The entire invite list was watching the video. The bar was empty. The hallway lights were dimmed. The kitchen staff moved constantly and quietly to set up the buffet. I laced my fingers in hers. She had a gold band we’d gotten out of expediency. No big sparkling rock. No sign I’d ever courted her properly before marrying her. My father always said a man didn’t skip steps if he wanted to do something once. I slid my cheek to hers and whispered in her ear, “I want to destroy you.” Her hand tightened in mine so tightly I could feel our bones. Her glands must have fired, because the apples and the perfume melded and became something so uniquely her my balls ached—but not for simple release. For something more. An agreement of ownership. Waiting wasn’t an option. Pulling her by the hand, I headed for the hallway. “Caden,” she said when we were away from the event, “slow down.” I didn’t. I couldn’t. I pulled her down the carpeted steps to the lower level, stepping over a velvet rope at the bottom. The lights were out in the hall. Three doors led to three empty event rooms. “What’s with you lately?” she asked. “Are you saying no?” “I’m asking a question.” I backed into one of the rooms and pulled her in. It was dark but for light coming from under the doorways on each side. I walked in deeper, eyes adjusting quickly enough to avoid the tables and stacks of chairs on wheeled dollies. “So am I.” I faced her. “Are you saying no?” “What are you hoping I’ll say yes to?” “I’m going to pull that dress up until I can get to these hard nipples.” I pinched them through the dress and she gasped. “Then I’ll bend you over one of these tables and fuck you so hard walking’s going to hurt. Are you saying no?” “I’m not. But I want to know what’s going on with you.” “Pull your dress up before I shred it.”

Rough Edge (The Edge, #1)Rough Edge by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m totally speechless... this is one of those books different people will get different things from. It’s devastating, edgy and absolutely beautiful. Caden and Greyson are so in love with each other that their story is painful to read. I can’t wait to dig in further with these two and see what is hidden.
If you’ve read this authors work before you know she pushes boundaries and this is right up there with her other masterpieces. It’s sinful, hot and pushes all kinds of buttons that will have you screaming for more. I’m so excited to see where we go next.

About the Author

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Protecting a celebrity in Hollywood isn’t easy, but protecting Emily could break his heart.

As a world-class dancer at the height of her career, Emily enjoys all the perks of fame—the parties, the glamour, the tours—but they’ve also attracted the attention of a dangerous ex-boyfriend hell-bent on getting her back.

Enter Carter Kincaid, a bodyguard so crushingly sexy he takes her breath away.

Carter’s the best in the business, and Emily is—professionally speaking—off-limits. But when it comes to stirring his desires, she’s making all the right moves. What’s happening between them is so hot it could get both of them burned. As Emily’s past gets closer, Carter is willing to break every rule of the job to save her. But letting Emily into his life also means letting her in on the secrets of his own past. For these two, falling in love could be the greatest risk of all.

Excerpt:

"Are we going to have another 'about last night' conversation?" I asked. "If you want to." What did I want to say? Everything. but mostly, I wanted to tell him how much I liked kissing him and how conflicted I was. I wanted to demand answers immediately and give him space at the same time. All the words tried to jump forward, but when he stopped at a light, our eyes met in the rearview. The words landed in a tangle, unsaid. He tapped the steering wheel when he turned it, using both hands for the first time since I'd gotten in. "Hey," I said. "Yeah?" He briefly looked at me in the mirror. "What happened to your hand?" "Burn." he brushed his left hand over the bandage at the top of his palm, right where you'd burn it if you were picking up a hot pot handle. He caught my eye in the rearview again. I didn't know if I believed him. "What were you cooking?" "Breakfast." "And you still went to get a Danish?" He rubbed his upper lip with his left hand and tapped the wheel with the bandaged one. "I burned my eggs." Right. Hot pot. Burned hand. Smoke-filled kitchen. "You know what's funny?" I said. "The Three Stooges." "I don't know anything about you. You could live in your mother's basement." "That's just where I bury the bodies." Blatant avoidance. It had been cute before; now it was getting on my nerves. "Are you married?" "No!" He could have been lying, buy lying liars always lied. There wasn't a thing I could do about that except make sure I asked. Something was wrong. We'd kissed twice, and twice he'd shut down. I should have been the one shutting down. I was the one with all the ex-boyfriend baggage. Why was I the one who was always so willing? But there he was in the front seat, driving with both hands on the wheel, glancing at me once in a while to make sure I wasn't choking on my tongue in the back seat. Discomfort radiated out of him. Here I was with my hands in my lap thinking about ways to kiss him again. He pulled into the little lot and wedged into a space. He turned off the car, popped his seat belt, and stared at the wheel for a split second too long. I was about to open the car door myself when he turned all the way around, arm over the back of his seat, bandaged hand on the back of the passenger side. "Kissing you..." He stopped and looked at my lips so intensely I folded them back and bit them. "You're dangerous. I can't even see your lips, but I can taste them. I couldn't brush the taste of you out of my mouth this morning. Right now. The honey. I can taste it but not enough. I want to kiss you again, and I can't. I lose my shit around you. I can't do it. My job is control. Do you understand what I'm saying?" My jaw loosened, and I let my lips go. "No, I don't. I've met bodyguards before. You're a stoic bunch, but you're not all celibate. And if you think this is easy for me, you're wrong. I'm afraid too. I'm afraid you're going to get hurt because of me. last night..." I put my fingertips to my lips as if that would keep the choking sob from coming. I kept it back. "Last night he showed me he's back, and if he'll hurt me, he'll hurt you." If I thought seats would be a barrier between us, I was wrong. He launched himself between them and placed his lips on mine. Our third kiss was unexpected, uncomfortable with him stretched between front and back. I wove my fingers in his hair, giving him my mouth, and taking his. I wanted that kiss to tell him it was all right. He could lose control. He could bemore than a protector. He was as safe with me as I was with him. But I couldn't without lying to both of us. He yanked his lips away. "Trust me." He leaned his forehead against mine. CD_AVAILABLE NOWlowercase_preview

TEASER THREE copy.jpg

Excerpt:

“Pull your skirt up.” I said it without acknowledging the possibility that she’d disobey. It felt good to use those words and that tone. To watch her eyes go to the floor. “Trust me.” I said it so low she was just within range to hear it. “Five minutes. Then we don’t have to fight over the car.” I stepped back and set my watch with a beep. It wasn’t about the car for her. The Jag was the least of her worries, but it was a tangible justification. For the downcast eyes. For the way her breathing changed. Maybe every bone in her body was vanilla. Maybe not. “Quit any time,” I said. “Just say the word.” She laid her hands on her hips. Curled her fingers. Gripped fabric. Pulled up her skirt. The tops of her thighs came into view then met at the crotch. I was hard already and made no move to hide it. She noticed and stopped moving the skirt. “Higher,” I said as if telling her how to center a picture over the couch. Higher was where it had to be. It wasn’t a request. Up it went, revealing cotton underwear in a pink so pale they were almost white. “Now what?” she asked. “How do you feel?” “Weird, Adam. Really weird.” “Why?” “Because I’m standing here with my skirt around my waist? Because you told me to? For a car, no less, which is creepy.” She was so honest. I ached for her honesty. “You’re not obeying me for an object. You’re obeying me so I do something. Take an action or don’t.” “You think that’s not weird?” “No, I don’t. And we have four minutes.” I stepped forward. Part of her discomfort was in the physical distance between us. I’d stepped away so she didn’t feel threatened, but my gaze was keeping her from relaxing. I kept my eyes on hers. I could smell her perfume and feel the shortness of her breath. “Are you turned on?” “Sex isn’t going to get me back. I’m sorry—” “Touch yourself.” Her initial shock and offense lasted only a second before she pressed her lips together and reached down, shoulders angling, hand thrusting as if checking to make sure her cunt was still there. We have hundreds of bones in our bodies, and sometimes we won’t acknowledge the preferences of the ones that scare us. “Are you wet?” “A little.” I gripped the edge of the vanity and put my lips near her cheek, millimeters from touching her. “You don’t love me anymore,” I whispered. “But I could always make you wet, and you always came for me. Like our Italy vacation. In Florence. Coming back from that club, in the little alley. Against the wall. I ripped through your underwear.” Her breathing got shallow and fast. “I fucked you in the dark, and when you came, you screamed my name so loud all the lights in the apartments went on.” “That was good.” She turned her face toward mine. When her lips nearly touched me, I pulled away just enough. “I said I wouldn’t touch you.” “I changed my mind.” I wasn’t fooled. Her arousal was talking. I owned her. She’d do whatever I told her. But I wanted something very simple. I wanted her pleasure. “Take the juice from your cunt and rub it on your clit. Make it wet.” “Adam.” “What?” “What’s come over you?” “Do it.” I felt her arm move against me. “Rub back and forth. Be consistent. One-two-one-two.” When I felt that she had it, I stepped back. She stopped. Her knees were bent slightly and her fingers had taken her cunt from the side of the crotch, not the waistband. She never ceased to surprise me. “One-two-one-two, huntress.” “Is this your way of getting back at me?” “One-two-one-two. Let me see you come. You’re so beautiful when you come. You’ve gone this far.” Her body must have been able to override her mind, because she moved her finger again, closing her eyes. Her cheeks reddened and her knees bent more deeply. “In Florence. An hour after we got to the hotel. I came so deep in you that night. I fucked you from behind with your leg up on the dresser. I wanted to thrust my whole body inside you. I loved you that much. And I gave up who I was. Last night, at the club, I remembered what I was. I was a man who was obeyed. I dominated women, and they submitted to me. The result was what you’re about to feel. Complete pleasure.” She let out a long, low groan, leaning on the vanity, twisting. I could have fucked her right then. I could have bent her over the counter and pounded her. But that wasn’t the point. No. Watching her hand move under her clothes because I commanded it. That was the point. An uh escaped her throat. Years of marriage had taught me that meant she was about to come. My watch beeped. “Time’s up,” I said. Her eyes went wide. Her hand stopped. “Thank you,” I said. “We’re done. I’ll send you the title to the car. You might want to pull your skirt down, since I can’t lock the door from the outside.” It was hard to walk away from her panting, bent frame without tasting her cunt or even seeing more of her reaction, but I turned the corner, unlocked the door, and left the bathroom.

Michelle's Review
Marriage Games (Games, #1)Marriage Games by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful! Brilliant! Remarkable! I could go on and on. CD Reiss owns me with this book. I absolutely love her writing and this book is everything. Absolutely everything! I'm spellbound, heartbroken and totally in love with Adam and Diana. Their love, their battles, I felt them all. You have to read this! I can't wait for the next book.

About the Author:

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up, she's at the well, hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. Critics have dubbed the books "poetic," "literary," and "hauntingly atmospheric," which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she's some sort of braggart who's too good to chop a cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
