![]() About the BookBlurb![]() ExcerptA series of female giggles pierced the silence. She looked upstairs to where the sound resonated and saw two women in barely there bikini’s running down the steps. Behind them was Joshua Mancini himself wearing a pair of shorts and a black t-shirt. He was chasing the women. Amy geared herself up to meet her new employer. Even if she was appalled at the state of the house she had to make that first impression a good one. As he got closer she saw that he was truly handsome indeed with his sleek muscle and untamed pride. What she saw online was totally drool-worthy, but those images had nothing on the real-life Joshua Mancini who was six feet six, extremely well built with a ridged wall of a chest that bulged against the soft fabric of his t- shirt. He was breathtaking to look at with his black shiny, spiky hair, tanned skin and piercing eyes with an unusual mix of blue and green. Turquoise. That was the color. It was turquoise like the sea in somewhere like the Caribbean. Not that she’d ever been, but she’d seen enough pictures. He was the kind of man that made you want to stare, even against your will. She quickly adjusted herself and her focus. It would do her no good to go all girlie weak-kneed and turn into some babbling buffoon in front of him. She had to look professional. He looked her over with appreciation as he made his descent down the stairs and stopped a few paces away from her, making her feel like a dwarf even in her heels that added an extra two inches to her mere five feet and four inches. The women joined him and giggled as they tried to fix each other’s hair. “Good, the stripper’s here,” he said with a wide smile that revealed super gorgeous dimples in his exotic high cheek bones. It took her a second or two to realize that he was referring to her. “No, no I’m from the agency,” she replied quickly. “I’m Amy, your new PA.” That was when he looked up at her and narrowed his eyes. “If you could just point me in the direction of the office I’ll get started.” There, that was professional. To her surprise, however, he started to laugh. It was the usual sort of off balanced laughter you’d expect from someone who was truly wasted and didn’t know what they were even laughing at. “Those people are jokers.” “This is no joke. I’ll take care of all your paperwork and everything.” She offered a smile. “Ha, ha. Everything? Well you can start in there.” He set his square jaw in a firm line and pointed to the mess in the living room. “Clean that up will you.” Her mouth dropped. She attempted to protest but he just walked away, leaving her there to gawk at the crazy mess.Buy LinksAmazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon CA | Amazon AUAbout Khardine GrayAuthor Bio![]() Connect with KhardineWebsite | Facebook | TwitterGiveawayKhardine Gray is giving away an e-copy of her latest release, The Shape of My Heart. I’m an animal, a member of the Sin City Outlaws motorcycle club that isn't capable of human compassion. So I’ve been told anyway. Raven is my club’s prisoner. I’ve been ordered to break her. It should be easy given my violent history. But being this close to a woman—this woman—for the first time in a long time, is like sharing company with the demon Lilith herself. She’s my perfect toy. Filled with a dark rage. Blessed with perfected beauty. Sinfully sweet and wickedly divine. Everything about her solicits the demons inside me I want to hear her screams. I want those big, dark eyes looking up at me—silently begging me for mercy. I want to be her heaven…and her hell. My desire for her is forbidden. My infatuation is illicit. I’m betraying my club. And if the wage of my sin is death, then this woman is going to get me killed.
EXCERPT
“Kill me?” she whispers, her fingertips caressing my cheek. I want to push my body onto her, and feel her warmth against my skin one more time before I take her life and her body cools. I’m going to enjoy her. She’s dark and twisted. I smile and bend down to get closer to her. Running my hand through her soft black hair I pet her, brushing her loose hairs away from her face. Fuck, I’m excited to play with her, hear her scream and watch her fear me. To quickly kill someone as pretty and smart as her would be a goddamn waste. Like breaking a toy before you got a chance to play with it, this needs to be done slowly. “Oh no sweetheart, the fun is just about to start,” I threaten in a low whisper. Something dark passes over her face, but she doesn’t break eye contact. It’s almost as if she sobers completely. Suddenly a foot strikes me in the chest and I sail into the side of the van.

![]() My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 kick ass stars! Dark, gritty and fan-freaking-tastic! This has got to be my favorite book by this author. I've loved all of her books but there is just something about these characters that stole my heart. Machete and Raven are absolutely perfect for each other. Both troubled broken souls. Damaged beyond repair, together they can find the light that each other needs. Both of their stories weighed heavy on me and the way the authors words told their story was exceptional. Forgy gave us everything and left nothing off the table. The Sin City Outlaws are one of my favorite MC series and I'm waiting patiently for Mac's story. If you haven't read about these amazing guys and strong gals you're totally missing out. They are a definite must read.

As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

You’re the answer to my prayers.” I spun around and faced Jenny Davis who operated the Carter County Animal Shelter. “That’s what he said,” I replied, jerking my thumb in Chaz’s direction without thinking my actions through. Chaz gasped, Josh threw his head back and laughed in delight, and I’m pretty sure that Andy growled. I chanced a peek at Chaz’s and caught him staring at me with a dumbfounded expression on his face. How much more obvious did I need to be that I wanted to see where things could go between us? “Is this a bad time?” she asked nervously. “I’d like to ask a favor of you.” My staff and I volunteered ten to fifteen hours a week treating the dogs and cats at her shelter. The last time I was there, she mentioned that she needed to raise money for the shelter. I figured that she wanted to discuss a fundraiser with me. “Not at all, Jenny. Josh will be delayed a few minutes, so I have time now.” “Well, it’s a big favor,” she said hesitantly. “Remember how I mentioned a fundraiser to you?” “Sure and I’ll help out however I can,” I told her. “I’m so glad you feel that way because you play a big part in what I have in mind.” She clapped her hands and bounced on her feet. “I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner,” she said to herself. “How big?” I asked, narrowing my eyes as an uneasy feeling came over me. That feeling only increased when she broke eye contact and looked down at her feet. “We’d like to do a calendar with the animals at the shelter. One of my staff is an amateur photographer and is willing to donate the time to take and edit the photos.” “So you’re looking for donations to cover the cost of producing the calendars? I’ll gladly help out with that,” I told her. Jenny didn’t meet my offer with as much enthusiasm as I expected. “Not exactly the kind of help I was looking for from you,” she said. “No? How else can I be of service to you?” I asked, clearly confused. I provided free veterinarian services and offered to… “She wants you to pose for the calendar,” Chaz said, interrupting my thoughts. I looked over at him and rolled my eyes. “No, she doesn’t.” “Oh, I think that’s exactly what she’s working her courage up to ask,” Chaz told me. “Isn’t that right, Jenny?” I looked at Jenny, expecting her to brush off his idea, but all I saw was a hopeful gleam in her green eyes. “Me?” I asked in disbelief. “Why not you?” Jenny asked, seemingly emboldened when I didn’t refuse the idea outright. “You’re gorgeous, built like a brick house, and adore animals. Who else would I ask?” “I don’t know, Jenny,” I said hesitantly. “I’m not very photogenic.” “Stop being so modest,” Jenny told me. “You’re exactly what we need. I can see it now…” Her voice trailed off while she envisioned something in her mind. “Shirtless poses with a kitty, cowboy hat and boots while standing beside a horse…” “I’d be wearing more than just a pair of boots and a hat, right?” I asked, needing clarification before the conversation went any further. “Dr. Vaughn!” Jenny’s said in shock. “Why, I’d never suggest such a thing.” Then she covered her mouth with both hands and giggled nervously. “Oh my,” she answered, fanning herself. “That’s not at what I meant at all. Dear me, I meant my offer as a complement, Dr. Vaughn. I thought your love for animals combined with your hunky looks would make a great fundraiser.” “It would probably sell a lot of calendars,” Chaz said, chiming in. I looked over at him and caught him staring at me speculatively. “But would you buy a calendar?” I asked. “Duh,” Chaz said, then added, “it’s for charity.”![]() I am a wife and mother to three kids, three dogs, and a cat. ![]() My rating: 4 of 5 stars You know when you sit down to read a book by Autumn you're going to get a great story. She had a way of bringing out the best and worse in her characters. Liam and Bree have been friends forever. Liam being Bree's brothers best friend he kept his distance from her and kept his feelings to himself. After a hard time she is suddenly pushed back into his life but this time he may not be able to keep his feelings to himself. With this book we get a great story, a story of growth and survival. It deals with domestic violence so if that is a trigger for you you can be aware. The writing was so real and I absolutely loved the characters. If you've read the authors other books you may get a pleasantly surprise when some characters we love make an appearance. Great book!

Loss—the failure to keep someone or something.
I know all about loss, and the resulting damage can do more harm than good.
Losing everything in one fell swoop… yeah, Karma’s definitely not on my side.
My life has been somewhat monotonous. Look after my twin. Play in the band. Party like a rock star.
Women have filtered in but never stayed, and now that my band mates have all settled down, I’m looking for something… more.
My problem? I’m a perfectionist, and I desire a particular type of woman. I don’t want groupies or fangirls, they’re not my scene anymore.
No, I want the perfect ten. And I’m counting on an internet dating guidance guru to help me find her.
But I’m not doing this alone. My brother’s friend and gallery manager, Alex, is along for the internet dating ride, and we’re doing this ‘dating thing’ together for support.
And in doing so, we’ve become the best of friends. Inseparable one would say.
Now with chaos surrounding me—being arrested, accosted by thugs, and all the drama that comes with my internet dating life—it’s forced a wedge between us, and I’m faced with losing her forever.
And it’s only now I see what’s been in front of me the whole time.
You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone…

Excerpt
Gypsy hair tangled with salt from his swim, Danny could be a poster guy for a cool brand of jeans. He had to stoop to kiss his grandmother, such a tiny woman her canvas apron swamped her. Stupid to mind he hadn’t kissed Grace goodbye, or introduced her. It wasn’t as if they were on the verge of a relationship. So that was that. She had to forget about him now, especially as he was clearly impatient to see her drive away. She shoved the car into gear, aware of the incongruous Mercedes in a street barely wide enough for two cars to pass. The haphazard grey cottages squatted on the slope as if they’d slithered towards the sea in the aftermath of a storm. The shutters were mostly the colour of clotted cream, flanked by pots and hanging baskets, bursting with geraniums. Why did she want to cry about that? She couldn’t face going back to Penrowan with her tail between her legs. Sober now, she couldn’t face Sam after Dixie’s bombshell yesterday. Getting drunk with Dixie seemed to have brought them closer but now she was doubly wary of causing Dixie more hurt. Far from oiling the wheels to reveal her own secret, the night out had been the perfect excuse to avoid talking at all. She drove into the heart of Perranstone village, imagining smugglers and romantic derring-do as soon as she saw the quaint rustic charm of the fishermen’s cottages. Working homes next door to holiday lets, the higgledy-piggledy Lego houses had been transformed by fresh coats of ice-cream paint. Tiny shops selling fish caught that morning, stood alongside postcards and buckets and spades. There was a new addition since the last time she’d been there, a chic boutique hotel converted from the shell of a bonded warehouse. Clearly the village was on the up. Shading her eyes from the glow of the early evening sun, she got out at the harbour wall and wandered around the horseshoe quay. The tide was coming in. The myriad boats bobbed on the swell, making ready with pots and nets to prolong years of family tradition. Too wistful to notice where she was walking, she came upon a house she recognised from the adverts she’d viewed on-line. It had been empty for a long time, by the looks of it. Even the estate agent’s sign was faded and blistered. But who’d be daft enough to buy somewhere so haphazard? It looked the sort of place where you’d cook in summer and freeze in winter, even if you made it up the mossy steps without breaking an ankle. Yet the salty tang of the sea, the screech of the gulls in the harbour and the yearning evoked by the busy little boats made it somehow compelling. How could she be nostalgic about something she’d never had? It was plain ridiculous to hanker after a rose-tinted future with her daughter in the centre. They hadn’t even met yet. Who’s to say she’d even take to Grace, never mind forgive her? And what about the parents who’d loved her for over twenty years? Where exactly could Grace fit in…? ![]() Smitty’s Sheriff, a sexy, heart-warming MM romance by Cardeno C. is available now!![]() Todd is too flakey. Richard is too stubborn. Together, they're perfect. A May-December couple get a second chance at love. Retired soldier Richard Davis wants a stable life in a quiet town with a forever man. Becoming the sheriff of Hope, Arizona, accomplishes two of his three goals, but instead of finding a serious partner, he falls for too-young-to-be-committed and too-flakey-to-be-serious Todd Smitty. Richard won’t find the right man if he’s obsessed with the wrong one, so he walks away from Todd. It’s lust at first sight when Todd meets his sister’s army friend. He sets his sights on the worldly, strong, stable older man, and the more time he spends with Richard, the harder he falls. But after three years together, Richard cuts off all contact with no explanation. When a mutual obligation requires Todd to move into Richard’s house, he’s thrilled at the opportunity to earn a second chance. Ignoring Todd from across town was hard enough. Can Richard resist temptation under his own roof? Excerpt:“Todd.” Leanne snapped her gaze toward him. “You’re not too young to know the nickname people used to call guys named Richard, are you? “Uh.” Todd blinked and darted his gaze between Rich and Leanne. They were finally paying attention to him and all he wanted was to go back to being invisible. “Dick,” she said. “Big D got his nickname before we met, but some of us in my squad figured it wasn’t just about his last name being Davis. So we had a bet going.” She flicked her gaze to Rich again, as if expecting him to interrupt. He didn’t. “Problem is, we couldn’t agree on which side won because we couldn’t get solid evidence.” She focused on Todd. “But now I have an eyewitness.” “I, uh, I don’t—” Todd stammered, hating being in the middle of what felt like an argument. “Don’t let Sparky get to you,” Rich said, still completely unbothered. “Some of the guys saw Big D in the latrines, and they said he’s big all over, but when they tried to collect on the bet, the other side made a good point.” She narrowed her eyes menacingly at Rich. “If the man’s a show-er, that means he isn’t grow-er, so he doesn’t actually have a big D, now does he? That means the other side should win.” Todd drew his eyebrows together and tried to follow Leanne’s question. “Are you saying you guys have a bet going on the size of Rich’s dick?” “Yep.” Leanne leaned against the chairback, looking smug. “And you, little brother, are going to settle that bet.” Normally, Todd had no problem talking about a guy’s package. Hell, in the right situation, dicks were damn near his favorite topic. But he had never spoken to anyone about Rich’s body or, really, anything else related to Rich because he knew that was off limits. Of course, Leanne was asking him the question because she already knew he had the answer. Flicking his gaze toward Rich, Todd said, “Am I allowed to…” “It’s a simple question,” Leanne snapped. “Is he a grow-er or a show-er?” Rich didn’t tell him to stay quiet so Todd figured he had permission to answer. “Both.” She blinked. “Seriously.” He bobbed his head. “Length, girth.” He held his hands far apart. “It’s awesome.” As long as he had permission to share, he figured he should be thorough in his explanation. “His balls too.” Leanne coughed. “I mean it. They’re huge. Each one’s a mouthful by itself.” “Ehm.” Leanne cleared her throat. “Thanks.” Looking decidedly uncomfortable, she held her palm up in a stop motion. “I’m good on the details. You don’t need to keep going.” “Are you sure?” After a lifetime of being the butt of the joke with his siblings, Todd enjoyed turning the table. “I can sketch you a picture, but I’ll need one of those extra-long pieces of paper if you want it to scale.” “That won’t be necessary.” Leanne actually blushed. “I’m all set.” Rich threw his head back and laughed. “Thanks, Todd. Eighteen years these jackasses have had the silly bet going and I do believe you just put it to rest.” Thrilled with the praise and relieved to be playing and flirting with Rich again, Todd smiled broadly. “No problem. When it comes to your big D, I’m always willing to lend a hand.” He settled into the chair, comfortable for the first time that night, and when the conversation turned back to stories about people he didn’t know, he truly didn’t mind. Eighteen years was a long time. If Rich had cared about putting an end to the bet, he’d probably had a dozen different chances. That he did it now, meant his goal had been less about the bet and more about a point. Todd knew something about Rich that nobody else did, or at least nobody who mattered enough to meet his friends. That meant Todd mattered. Leanne knew that now. ![]() My rating: 4 of 5 stars I really enjoyed Smitty's Sheriff, this is the first book that I've read by this author and it filled my expectations. I adore M/M books so this was right up my alley. The characters Todd and Rich are great characters. Todd is early twenties and Rich is in his forties. Their story is kinda a second chance story. They were in a "relationship" for three years when they broke up. Being apart for six months they are suddenly pushed back together. Sparks fly and misunderstandings happen with these two. ![]() My rating: 5 of 5 stars Absolutely love Grease and Starch! I'm really liking this series, but what's not to like. Cowboys throwing darlings around does a lot to the female organs... just saying. Quinn is a wonderful character. She's funny, smart and strong. She's loved the same boy since she was eleven. He was her first crush, first kiss her first everything. They spent every summer together but when he left that last summer never to return her heart broke. When Tate left Quinn that last summer he had every intention of returning. But he didn't. He never forgot her or allowed anyone else in his heart. Nine years have passed and finally he is going back for her and what belongs to him. Will she forgive him and let him back in? These characters are wonderful! I especially love Quinn, she definitely has a way with words and you can't help but fall in love with them both. Their story is a second chance and it's absolutely beautiful. As always Harper has a way of telling you a story that will have you begging for more. And I am.... begging for more! ![]() Meet the Author:Jennifer lives in a small town in Pennsylvania with her husband and two daughters. Since then, she’s kept her emotions safely tucked away—until she meets the new rancher at Sky Lake Dude Ranch. Stetson in hand, the gorgeous cowboy’s arrival in her store immediately shakes up her world.
Adam Conley is only in Fly Creek for as long as it takes to fulfill his promise to his late cousin. The small town brings up too many memories of the life he left behind years ago. He knows his task won’t be easy, but the last thing he expects is the instant attraction to the reason he’s in town. Emily is beautiful, vibrant, and completely off-limits. He’s there to keep his promise—not fall in love.
But Adam’s secret will crumble everything Emily’s life has revolved around.
