Meet the Author:
Jody Holford is a multi-published author who has a soft spot for happily ever after. So much so, she tattooed the words on her arm. She’s a mom and a wife, a friend, sister, daughter, teacher, and book-lover. Her stories have a little heat and a lot of heart. And maybe, some swoon-worthy moments that will make you smile.
About the Book:
When Zach Mason, former army sergeant turned veterinarian for war-wounded animals, returns home, the decision to stay is easy. But convincing the only other vet in town to hire him is a good deal harder. It doesn’t help that the beautiful, intelligent, and stubborn Stella Lane is determined to make his life hell.
Stella doesn’t take outside help easily—she’s been let down in the past, most recently by her ex, just as she’d begun to plan their wedding. Trusting Zach with her animals is one thing, but trusting him with more is a hard pass. Too bad the handsome vet is nothing but temptation. And her new roommate...

My word, sometimes I feel like you two are back in elementary school the way you bicker. We are here to cheer Aria up, smile, laugh,” she says coming closer. She places her hands on the table, palms down, and leans toward the three of us. “Be nice,” she says in a low, serious tone directed at Roman and Leeza, not me. Her faces switches from stern to sweet when her eyes move to me. “Tell me, poor dear, how did you injure your head in the first place? We haven’t had time to really chat and get to know each other.” Roman coughs and clears his throat. With a twinkle in his eye, he stands to help Ella who has just arrived with our dinner. He loves the thought of me explaining how I came to knock myself out drinking in his shower. “Well, it’s kind of embarrassing actually.” “Oh well, I don’t want to embarrass you. How did you two meet?” Oh great, one embarrassing story to the next. “You remember, don’t you? I was at the resort, and Roman overheard me telling the desk clerk that I was traveling alone. He struck up a conversation, and here we are, not very exciting, I’m afraid.” “Oh come now, it wasn’t quite like that.” Roman is spreading a tablecloth on the table listening to my altered version of our story. “Tell her the truth, Mom will understand.” Julia’s eyebrows pop up intrigued to hear the truth. I grip the sheets at my sides and dive in thinking of how many ways I can torture Roman from this bed later on for pushing me into this uncomfortable position. “Well, as you already know, I was on my honeymoon alone. My ex-fiancé was on the phone at the front desk, and the clerk came to my room to encourage me to answer his call. He was worried David, that’s my ex, would come to the resort and cause a scene if I didn’t. Roman happened by and,” I pause suddenly wondering if Roman had actually happened by at all. “Wait, did you know David was on the phone? Were you following that clerk to my room?” I ask Roman who is now wearing a sly grin. “I followed you to Mexico. I knew what room you were in, and yes, I knew it was David on the phone. There was no way I was going to let him disturb you, but it was the perfect way to come to your rescue, don’t you think?” This is why he wanted me to tell our story, to point out that our meeting wasn’t an accident after all. “Nice. Now I have to think of our meeting as a setup instead of fate. I guess I should have realized after you told me you’d been watching me like a creepy stalker for six years.” “Oh, she got you there, Mufasa,” Leeza taunts grinning. Roman straightens up and points at his sister. “Shut up, Leeza.” Then he switches his focus to me. “I’ll have you know I was not stalking you. Think of me as your guardian angel. I was merely keeping my eye on you to make sure you were safe.” “I’m an intelligent, educated, grown woman. I didn’t nor do I now need a guardian angel watching over me to make sure I’m safe.” My words are delivered with a smidge more venom than I had intended, but he gets the point. I’m irritated, back off. “Touché, Ms. Savage, touché.” He rounds the table and leans over his mother to kiss me ever so gently on the mouth. An apology of sorts, the only kind of apology Roman gives, I imagine. Julia sighs like a love-sick teenager swooning over a rock star. “I like the two of you together. You don’t put up with my son’s overbearing ways, and he has learned how to say ‘I’m sorry’ with a kiss.” “I know how to apologize, Mother. And that was not an apology kiss,it was a let’s call it even kiss for your information.” He looks at me, and I know he’s full of shit. He may not admit it, but he just said I’m sorry.About Melody: Melody Eve began writing as a hobby in 2014 and slowly learned that weaving stories and creating characters was addictive. When Nate Davidson learns there’s a bounty on Wolf Stone’s head, he shoves aside the hurt and bitterness of the past and volunteers to serve on his protective detail. Trouble is, their well-respected commander doesn’t want any help. Their first angry kiss reignites a passion that time has not diminished, and the stunning addition of the beautifully submissive Kayla Fagan to their relationship changes their dynamic in sexy ways they never could have imagined.
But as a hitman closes in, Kayla and Nate want more from Wolf. They want him to share his deepest secrets…and his love. Wolf’s wounds run deep, and love is the one thing he’s incapable of offering.
Kayla Fagan unfolded her legs. For a second, her actions reminded Stone of a butterfly unfurling its wings. He took a seat in the oversize leather chair. She and Nate Davidson had left the wingback chair vacant for him. “You needed to talk?” “Yeah. About that…” She stood in a lithe movement that captivated him, made him aware of her femininity. Men and women were built different, and he was a connoisseur of both. He pressed his palms together and waited. “I want to play.” “Go on.” She paced. Then, with her back to a wall, she admitted, “I’m intrigued.” Her soft-spoken admission aroused him. “I just…don’t want anything extreme.” “You want to stay in control while you’re out of control?” She nodded. “You’ll have a safe word. And a slow word. We can go at your pace.” “Your safe word will stop any activity,” Davidson said. “You can always say no. Your Dom, Stone, will honor that. You get to set boundaries and negotiate terms. Your pleasure is our ultimate goal. Watching the two of them was entertaining as hell to Stone. “My pleasure is the only thing that matters?” Clearly, she was confused, and a little intrigued, if the glint in her green eyes was anything to judge by. “Make no mistake,” Davidson continued, “if you have any desire to submit or learn about submission, Stone is the Dom you want.” “Davidson’s right.” Stone leaned forward. “We’ll go slow. I’ll check in with you a lot. By watching you, I’ll know when you’re at your limit, even if you don’t realize it. You’ll never be taken anywhere you don’t want to go, or any place I deem unsafe.” “I…” He couldn’t help himself. Desire for this woman with her intense green eyes and untamed auburn hair drove him to distraction. Standing, he crossed to Fagan and closed his hands around her shoulders. He helped her up until she stood facing him, her head tipped back to meet his gaze. Then he captured her head and kissed her long, hard, deep. Nothing punishing, nothing dominant, just gentle reassurance. She tasted of wine, spicy and rich. And then, moments later…of surrender. His cock pressed against his zipper, insistently, demandingly. Did she recognize her power? Fagan swayed toward him, taking the role of the aggressor. Her tongue plunged deep into his mouth. And he was suddenly commiserating with how desperate Davidson had been to orgasm. Eventually, she pulled away. “Oh. Hmm. Well. Wow.” “Just for the record,” he said, holding her close, one hand just above her rear, the other between her shoulder blades, “I want to have sex with you. Whether or not that happens is completely your call.”

Everyone knows that if you play with fire you’ll end up getting burned… What happens when you attend a first responder’s bachelor auction with your best friends? Well, if your name is Madison Kelly like me, your friends end up bidding on a date for you with your high school crush. That’s right. Even back when I was ‘Fatty Maddie’ to all my classmates, I had eyes for the quarterback of our football team. Not like I was the only one. Mauro Bianco may fight fires for a living, but he still sets my heart ablaze. One look at the rugged, muscular man he’s turned into and I want to slide down his pole. One date. That’s all I’m committed to. A few hours and I can tuck him back into that tattered old shoebox in my closet. As always, the universe has other plans. I never would’ve predicted that in a matter of days he’d turn from my dream guy into my enemy. ADD TO GOODREADS
iBooks | B & N | Kobo | Google PlayMy brothers widen their stances, share a look of amusement and cock their eyebrows at me. “Hate to break it to you, but Maddie didn’t bid on you. Lauren did.” Luca laughs while Cristian chuckles. “I’m going out with a Madison and she didn’t go to our high school. Which reminds me.” I pull out my phone. “Maddie is Madison, you idiot,” Luca says. “Her and Lauren were my year.” “I went to high school with Madison?” I try to let her face come back to me, and though I can picture her bright blue eyes and long chestnut hair, nothing about her is familiar from high school. “Yes, but she definitely wasn’t hanging out at the bonfires and football pep rallies.” Luca grabs his helmet off his bike. The only responsible thing I’ve seen him do in the last few years. “Well, shit and she doesn’t even want to go out with me? Her friend bid on me?” Luca straddles his bike with a grin. I look over to Cristian, but he’s putting his shirt back on and starts fiddling with his earbuds. They obviously think this conversation is over. “Yeah, but we’re all in the same boat.” Cristian’s thumb moves over his phone screen. “Maddie’s awesome and I think you’ll have a good time with her.” “She seemed pretty quiet and way too accommodating,” I say. Luca kicks his stand up, letting the bike rock a little under him. Cristian’s hands freeze on the screen of his phone. “And that’s bad?” he asks. “I want a woman who knows what she wants. Has her own damn opinions. Doesn’t just agree with everything I say.” Cristian peeks over his shoulder, a look of amusement that matches Luca’s. “You want a girl to come up and grab your nuts?” “I want a girl who knows what her favorite food is, has an opinion about where she wants to go for dinner, likes whatever sports team she likes and doesn’t default to my favorites.” I stuff my hands into my pockets, digging out my keys for my truck. “Well then, Maddie might not be the one. Like I said, she’s nice.” Cristian slaps me on the shoulder. “Treat her good though, okay?” He inserts one earbud. “What do you think I’m going to do, leave her in Garfield Park?” He puts his other earbud in. “That’s not even funny man. I have a friend in that district and the shit that goes down there...” He shakes his head. Cristian loses the entire point of my statement—the fact I’m not a jackass. I’m not Luca. “It’s one date,” I say. “And who knows, maybe she’s nice but still has a wild streak.” Christian again glances over to Luca who’s smiling like he’s fucking Mickey Mouse. “Well, good luck on your date,” he says. Cristian jogs away and Luca’s bike starts up. I head to my truck. The conversation is over, but I’m curious now. Where’s my damn yearbook? I was the nerdy girl with a fantasy crush. All of my childhood, I was invisible to Adam Carlisle. That was fine, because I was too shy, and too smart, to think I had a chance with the most popular guy in school. Until someone crowned him prom king... And me queen. But it was only a cruel joke that ruined my self-esteem and broke my heart. Ten years later and my friend begs me to attend our school reunion with her. I'm older, wiser, but still a nerd. This event is setting off my anxiety. I want it to be over. Then... I see him. My prom king. Adam is hotter than ever. But what really gets my attention? He's staring right at me. I'm not invisible anymore. What happens when my fantasy crush becomes reality? EXCERPT There’s a commotion by the door and I look over and my whole body goes cold, then hot. Olivia Mitchell is standing in the doorway. I didn’t think I’d ever see her again. Nobody thought we’d ever see her again. But there she is, alive and… beautiful. And then she looks right at me. It feels like my heart stops. This song, looking at each other. It feels all too familiar, and I don’t think that I can keep still. I glance over at Trent. “Excuse me.” He follows my gaze and smiles. “It’s about time, man. Go.” I leave my whiskey at the table, and I head straight for her. It’s like I’m being pulled, and she’s looking at me like I’m the last person she expected to see. I hope that I’m not the last person that she wanted to see. Olivia. Ollie. It’s been a long time, and there are emotions welling up inside my chest that I haven’t examined in a long time. The first step is to say hello, Adam. Don’t get ahead of yourself. It’s shallow, but I’m stunned by how gorgeous she looks. Ollie was always beautiful in a quiet way, but it’s not quiet tonight. I try to pull my eyes away from the blue dress hugging her amazing body or else my dick is going to be as hard as granite. But holy fuck do I want to look and never stop looking. Not French. American. Smooth. Familiar. Ordinary. He fired out sentences at the speed of light. I heard him, but I couldn’t listen. Shock gripped my body as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. My dirty one-night stand was my boss. My lying, American boss. And now I had to deal with that—hopefully for a very long time, because I desperately needed this job. Someone snapped their fingers, and my gaze shot from Célian’s face to Grayson. His forehead had crumpled into a frown. “You look like you’re trying hard not to cry or having a really intense orgasm. I’m hoping for you that it’s the latter and some kind of a weird-slash-awesome condition. You okay?” I nodded, scraping up a smile. “Sorry. Zero orgasms happening under this dress. I just zoned out for a second.”Lies. I was about to orgasm just remembering how good Célianhad felt parting my thighs with his big, callused hands and dipping his tongue into my slit. Then words stopped streaming down on everyone’s heads like a scalding shower, and I realized that indeed there was something worse than hearing Célianspeak in his perfect American English. And that was not hearing him speak at all. Because now the icicles were pointed at me like a cocked gun. I glanced up to meet his gaze. He stared at me for exactly one second before his focus snapped to Grayson. “Am I understood, Gregory?” he asked. Gregory? “Crystal clear, sir,” Grayson bowed, his voice trembling at the edges. Célian jerked his chin toward me. “Your cover girl material is going downhill.” God. Damn. Bastard. He recognized me, and I knew it. His eyes had kindled, melting the ice and growing darker the minute our gazes mingled. He remembered, and maybe it killed him that I was here in the same way it buried me. I want my iPod back, my gaze told him. I had over three thousand songs on that thing, and they were all too good to be wasted on that jerk. “Jude Humphry. Junior reporter. It’s her first day,” Grayson highlighted, almost pleadingly. He shifted in my direction, as if he might need to physically protect me from the sharp-tongued, suited monster. I suppressed a smile when I realized I’d told Célianmy last name was Spears. Well, he certainly wasn’t a Timberlake. He was a Laurent. An American monarch through and through. A billionaire, a powerful force, and judging by our one and only encounter—a raging playboy. This man was inside you, I internally shrieked. And not just once. His cock was buried so deep in you, you screamed. You can still taste the salty, earthy flavor of his cum.You know he has a freckle on his lower back. You know what sound he makes when he empties inside a woman. I internally thanked my mind for ruining my panties in public, and nodded. “Pleasure to meet you, sir.” I offered him my hand, my face flushing with embarrassment at my choice of words. Everyone was looking at us, and there were at least fifty people in the room. Célian—if that was even his name—ignored my outreached hand. Instead, he turned his face to the man beside him. “Mathias, any other words of wisdom?” Mathias? Wasn’t that his father? Just how cold was the man with the icy blue eyes? “I think you touched everything,” said the big boss—and he did have a heavy French accent, so at least the lie had a seed. Mathias stared at me placidly, like he could read the secret his son and I shared on my face. Célian spun toward me, uncuffing his cufflinks and rolling his sleeves up his veiny forearms. “Accounting can go back to their unfortunate line of work. Couture is excused from this meeting—though not forgiven for their horrid blog. Miss Humphry?” He snapped his fingers impatiently. He was already waltzing down the narrow hallway, knowing I’d chase him like a puppy, and no doubt taking pleasure in that fact. “I have a bone to pick with you.” Bone, boner—same difference, right? I shot Grayson a please-save-my-butt look. His eyes said, I would but I still have a life to live. I followed Célian down the hall, my Chucks slapping the floor in a hurry. He sliced through the throng of accountants, then stopped at a corner office, opened the door, barked “Out!” to the man inside, and tilted his head for me to go in. I did. He closed the door, and it was just the two of us. Two feet of empty space between us. About LJ Shen: L.J. Reminds me of our cramped apartment where we were always bumping into each other and never had enough room. As both a girl and an artist, Josie came with stuff. Hair bands. Fuzzy socks. Premium pastels. A thousand tubes of lip balm. I loved her stuff because I loved her. But I’d also been baffled by her inability to hang up a sweatshirt. Her cottage isn’t any neater, which is just one reason I like it there. She doesn’t answer my knock. I unlock the door and let myself in. She’s sprawled on the bed in the sunroom, her body moving with quick, shallow breaths indicating a restless sleep. One shapely legs rests over a pillow, and her T-shirt is pulled up far enough to reveal the curve of her ass encased in panties printed with purple butterflies. Much as I love the sight of her, I dislike like her insomnia, the way she sleeps in fits and starts. Though I haven’t seen evidence of a nightmare, that doesn’t mean she’s not still having them. And going back to the accident site… My chest tightens. I sit in a chair by the window and rub a hand over the back of my neck. Two weeks. That’s it. Then she’s gone. After that…hell, you don’t have to think about after. You just need to make sure the truth stays locked down. That means keeping her away from Peterson and any reminders. Or taking her away. A roll of half-opened Lifesavers rests on the windowsill. Peeling it open, I find a red one and stick it in my mouth. Sugar and cherry spill over my tongue. “You’re going to pay for that.” Her sleep-husky voice draws my attention. She’s watching me, her arms around a pillow. “I’ll share.” I push to my feet. “You’d better.” After crossing the room in three strides, I sink onto the bed beside her and lower my mouth to hers. Though I had every intention of talking to her first, her kiss fires me with heat. The tension in my chest loosens. I brush her silky hair back from her face and slide my hand over her cheek. Breathe in her strawberry smell. My unease slides away, overpowered by her soft sweetness. She flicks her tongue into my mouth and over the cherry candy. After passing it to her, I lower her back onto the bed. My dick is already getting hard. I cup her breasts and rub my thumbs over her nipples, urging them to tighten. Josie sighs and shifts, hooking her legs around my thighs and wiggling her hips against me. “You need to stop wearing jeans when you’re here.” She pushes me away and rises up to unbutton my jeans and shove them off. “Makes it hard for this spontaneous sex thing we’ve got going on.” “I’m always hard for this spontaneous sex thing.” I shed my clothes before climbing on top of her again. Nuzzling my nose into her neck, I lick the hot hollow of her throat. I fucking love that tender little spot where her pulse beats so fast. I inch my hand up her shirt, pulling it up far enough to expose her breasts, her pink nipples sticking straight up. The sight of her naked body jerks my cock into full hardness. Josie breathes out a moan and grasps my dick. “God, Cole.” She shifts, urging me closer and parting her cherry-red lips. “Put it in my mouth.” “Not this time.” With effort, I detach her hand from me and bend to kiss her breasts, pulling her nipple into my mouth. Her groan of satisfaction fires my lust hotter. I slide my hand between her thigh and into her pussy. Ah, fuck, my girl is already wet and primed, like she’s been waiting for me. Moving lower on the bed, I push her thighs open. She rises to her elbows, her eyes widening. “Cole...” When we first got together, it had taken her a long time to let me go down on her. No matter how aroused she was or how careful I was, she’d tense up and get self-conscious about being so exposed. But we’d both persisted, and I’d started with gentle licks of my tongue that soon had her panting and pumping her hips. And when she came…more than once, I’d been unable to hold back and ended up shooting my load all over the bedsheets. That’s not happening this time. We fell in love. Then our world fell apart. My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is one of those duets that you feel deep in your soul. When I finished the first book my heart dropped and I couldn’t wait for this one. And boy did Nina give us a wonderful book to follow up with. I cried, laughed and cried again. Josie and Cole stole my heart. The heart everyone assumes is frozen over. Her anger is...arousing. Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth, gets me...well, you know. If I had a dollar for every time she's put me in my place, I'd be an even richer man. I'm a successful sports agent because I assume "no" means you'll think about it. I'm sure what you meant to say is "Coming right up.” They say even rich men don't always get what they want, but those men don't know how to play the game. The trick is to keep them guessing. Take Banner. She assumes she's winning, but this game? She doesn't even know how to play. BANNER If I had a dollar for every time Jared Foster broke my heart, I’d have exactly one dollar. One night. One epic fail. One dollar...and I'm out. I've moved on. I’ve found success in a field ruled by men. Anything they can do, I have done better. They can keep the field while I call the shots, blocking them when I have to. And Jared has the nerve to think he gets a second chance? Boy, please. Go sit down. Have several seats. I'll just be over here ignoring the man carved from my fantasies with a lust-tipped chisel. Oh, I didn't say the struggle wasn't real. But I've got that one dollar, and Jared won't have me. Excerpt: I stretch my arm toward the wall and turn out the lights. With the light snuffed out, my other senses rise, hunting for her in the dark. The smell of her hair and her quick, shallow breaths. My sight adjusts until the heavy black curtain completely obscuring her fades to gray. Light from the outer room spills under the door, revealing just the shape, the outline of her, but still camouflaging details. I cup her cheek, taking a moment to appreciate the softness of her skin, the silky hair brushing my knuckles. I’m not an idiot. She wants the lights out because she’s self-conscious, but from my perspective, she has nothing to be ashamed of. “I think you’re beautiful, Ban.” “You do?” she asks, her voice hushed. My words surprise me as much as they seem to surprise her, because I don’t say shit like that to girls. The prettiest ones usually seem to already know, which makes any admiration I’d express redundant. But Banner . . . she’s so beautiful, and I’m not sure she knows. “I do.” I push the hair away from her face. “Uh . . . thank you.” Her laugh isn’t much more than a breath. “The lights are out, so I’m not sure that compliment counts.” “I know your face by heart. You have seven freckles here.” I swipe a finger over the straight bridge of her nose and drift down to caress her full lips and the tiny dent in her cheek her smile displays. “And a dimple right here.” I explore the smooth skin of her nape, under a heavy fall of hair. “Now I want to know your body, too,” I say softly. “Take off your clothes for me, Banner.” After a sharply indrawn breath, she raises her arms. The rustle of her clothes—the sweatshirt, jeans, socks, shoes—being discarded whisper in the dark. I approximate her by touch, reaching for her arms and closing my fingers around the softness, the velvety skin. I lower my head and run my nose along her neck, discovering. “You always smell so good.” I’ve wanted to tell her that since the first night we studied here. “Pretty Pastel,” she replies, her laugh low, nervous. “What?” I pause. “The smell. It’s my dryer sheets. The scent is Pretty Pastel.” “I like it.” I resume my exploration, running a palm over her shoulder, her collarbone until I find the soft, full weight of her breasts, testing them in my hands, cupping them, holding them, brushing the nipples with my thumbs until they pebble and her breaths come harshly. “You like that?” I ask. I see her head nod in the semi-darkness. “Yeah. It feels good.” Her touch startles me in the best way, her hand finding my face, traveling over my mouth, eyes, and hair. I sense her approach, feel tiny pants of breath on my lips, and anticipation has me panting, too, shortens my breath and sharpens my senses. Her mouth seeks mine, eager and sweet when she kisses me. Her pleasure, her excitement matches, answers, fans mine. I guide her back down to the couch, and with a hand at her shoulder, urge her to stretch out. I’d shave points off my GPA for a glimpse of her, but she doesn’t want that. I get it, so I settle for a taste. Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars One of my favorite book of 2018! Jared and Banner will absolutely steal your heart. Their story has everything that you look for.... It's sexy, enchanting and it's heartbreaking. They've know each other since college but now ten years later they are given a second chance. Jared is a jerk and he knows it, Banner is a strong woman with a big heart and together they are explosive. Made for each other. Different sides to the same coin. This is definitely one of those books that I will read over and over again. It's that good. View all my reviews

Tic : Soulless Bastards MC No Cal Book 3 by Erin Trejo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars I absolutely loved it! I’m sitting here with tears rolling down my face...sad tears and happy tears. This book has them both. This is my first book by this author and I am totally going back and reading the others in this series. I loved the characters. Loved the story. I love single fathers and love that he’s in a MC. The story is gripping, suspenseful, emotional and exciting. Only downfall for me is that I could’ve kept on reading. It pulled me in and I didn’t want it to end. I really enjoyed it. National Bestselling author, Robyn DeHart’s novels have appeared in the top bestselling romance and historical romance lists. Her books have been translated into nearly a dozen languages. Her historical romantic adventure series, The Legend Hunters, were not only bestsellers, but also award-winners, snagging a Reader’s Crown and a Reviewer’s Choice award. She had three releases in 2013 and 2014 will see four more, all set in the popular historical romance Regency and Victorian eras. Known for her “strong dialogue and characters that leap off the page” (RT Bookclub) and her “sizzling romance” (Publishers Weekly), her books have been featured in USA Today and the Chicago Tribune. A popular writing instructor, she has given speeches at writing conferences in Los Angeles, DC, New York, Dallas, Nashville and Toronto, among many others. When not writing, you can find Robyn hanging out with her family, husband (The Professor) a university professor of Political Science and their two ridiculously beautiful and smart daughters, Busybee and Babybee as well as two spoiled-rotten cats. They live in the hill country of Texas where it’s hot eight months of the year, but those big blue skies make it worth it.
About the Book:
Harriet Wheatley is the mastermind behind the Ladies of Virtue's quest to rehabilitate the gentlemen of the ton. So when it comes to selecting her own target, she knows who to choose: Oliver Weeks, Marquess of Davenport—the most extravagant wastrel in all of London.
Known for his opulent lifestyle, Oliver isn't surprised by Harriet's confrontation. It's obvious Harriet longs for any way to take him down a notch. She says she'll help him find a bride, but he knows it's only because it gives her the excuse to chastise his indulgent ways.
Oliver has good reason for his flagrant overspending, but Harriet will hear nothing of it. So he has no choice but to teach the lady a lesson, even if it means risking his heart to the hard-headed and fiery woman.
