BLURB The conclusion of the surprising love story begun in Dirty Sexy Player.

I didn't have a plan for him.

He was the means to an end, a workaround to the cruel terms of my father's will that would allow me to inherit his company.

I hadn't planned to fall for him.

I hadn't planned to enjoy every minute of our wedding, hadn't planned to gasp his name so many times that night, hadn't planned for the sexy games on our honeymoon.

He didn't plan for his secrets to come out.

And neither of us planned for heartbreak.

EXCERPT

As soon as we were in our suite, the bomb exploded, the bomb being Elizabeth. “We’re alone now, so just tell me straight. You knew I was always going to France. If you wanted to be with me, you had to know it would involve living there. Is that not something you’ll even consider? Is it Sabrina? Is it Reach? Is it Donovan? Because if it’s fucking Donovan who’s keeping you from—”

I grabbed her hands, which were flying in midair as she yelled, and pulled them behind her back at her waist as I cut her off with a searing kiss, my tongue plunging into her open mouth, robbing her of oxygen.

When she was thoroughly kissed, her lips pliable, her body sagging in my arms, I let her go.

“I’m tired, Elizabeth. I’m not discussing fucking anything tonight.” I took off my tuxedo jacket and threw it on the desk. Then I began working on my cufflinks. “What I think we both need now is to release some tension.”

Her spine straightened, her neck growing longer as she stared at me in shock. “You think we’re going to have sex now?”

I loved how she made it sound disgusting, like she wasn’t interested, even when I’d just been kissing her and had felt the lean in her body, had tasted the desire in her mouth.

Two could play the indifference game.

I shrugged. “I’m fucking someone tonight. If you want it to be you, you better take off your dress.”

Her mouth slammed shut, and she only seemed to consider it for two seconds before she was fumbling with the zipper at her back. She struggled with it, but I didn’t help her. It made me stiff to watch her frantically trying to strip down, just because I told her to. Just because she thought I might find a better offer if she didn’t.

Like there was a better offer than her.

Like there was anyone but her.

I didn’t take my eyes off her as I unbuttoned my vest and tossed it to the side with my jacket. I’d loosened my tie by the time she got her dress undone. It fell to the floor and she was left wearing a strapless corseted bra, one that had a low back so it couldn’t be seen with her dress on, and matching lace panties—both in a white ivory so virginal and bridal it seemed dirty.

Jesus, she was a fucking wet dream.

And she was my wife.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR With over 1.7 million books sold world wide, Laurelin Paige is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author. She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.

BLURB

Everyone wants to get close to a rock star.

The bright lights.

The music.

Those talented fingers strumming… a guitar.

Everyone wants to bang a rock star.

So why do I keep running from the one who wants me?

I’m America’s Sweetheart.

I have a reputation.

He’s a boy-band icon turned rock god.

I’m vanilla.

He’s every flavor of bad.

And he’s much, much too young for me.

If I end up in Nick Ryder’s bed, my career and I will both be screwed.

...but that’s only if I’m caught.

EXCERPT

"Hi," he says, doing a double-take when he realizes it's me. He looks fabulous, of course, because why wouldn’t he when I look so scrubby? He's wearing jeans and a T-shirt and a hoodie, and his face doesn't look like he's tired, or like he stayed up late to drink too much and tear up the dance floor.

Or like he spent last night making out with somebody more than a decade older than him.

"It’s crazy seeing you here," I say. I giggle again at the sheer ridiculousness of this. "Do you come here often?" What am I doing? What am I saying? It's like I just learned how to talk to people of the opposite sex. How have I ever gotten a date?

Not that I'm trying to date Nick.

"Occasionally. You?" He sticks his hands in his pockets and he's so relaxed, so sexy, and I just can't stand all that swagger on such a handsome guy that I am not allowed to touch. It’s unfair for anyone to look so effortlessly edible before nine a.m.

"It's my favorite shop. Come here all the time." I take a couple steps backwards, trying to shift toward my car. "I probably should—"

"Don't you think it's probably more than a coincidence?" He takes a step towards me, and I take one back, willing myself not to respond to the rumble of his deep voice and the magnetism of his body. "That we’d see each other again so soon. Kind of like fate, almost."

Oh my god, Oh my god, he’s flirting with me. What do I do? He’s so hot, I can’t even look at him. But then I do, and I have total church-giggles over this, and I have to escape before I make an even bigger fool out of myself. Someone is bound to notice that I am losing my cool, and they’ll draw conclusions that aren’t even true.

It was just kissing!

"It's really weird, I have to admit." I dance back some more, then glance behind me to make sure I’m not going to back into the street and get run over and make this even worse. "And really awkward." I brush some hair back that’s come loose from the messy bun at the base of my neck.

He shrugs, seeming to disagree. And it’s true that I’m the only one who seems to be awkward right now. "I don't know about that. Doesn't have to be awkward. Could just be convenient. Since I never got your phone number."

If I didn't think he was flirting before, I know he definitely is now. I don't want to say no to him, but I have to say no to him. He cannot have my number. Can’t have anything more than a memory of a scorching-hot make-out in the back of a club. What we did was not for a sunlit day. It was for a dark corner. And yet, I still can't seem to actually say the word no. So instead I say, "Why do you need my phone number?"

Oh my god, this is mortifying. It really is like I'm in high school again and I've forgotten not only how to talk to boys but how to stand in their presence.

He takes another step toward me, laughing. "Well, for one thing, I thought it might be nice if we had dinner sometime."

He has the most ridiculous smile, I realize. It lights up his entire face. You can see it in his eyes, and there's no pretension. It's all genuine. Pure sunshine. I'm rendered speechless by it for half a second and I have to ask, "What was that?"

"Dinner,” he says, that huge-ass grin in full force, taking another step toward me, and now there's only three feet between us, and I can feel the body heat from him, can remember what it felt like the last time he walked me backwards into a wall and then his body was pressing into me, and his mouth was on me. When his chest was against me, when his cock was pressing into me and my hips--

I suddenly jump backwards. "I don't think that would be a good idea." I look around suddenly to see if anyone's noticed this exchange yet.

It’s fine, it’s still fine.

We're just two people who work in the same industry who bumped into each other on a Saturday morning and are chatting like people do on Saturday mornings when they bump into each other. While giggling. Totally fine.

"What are you worried about, Natalia?" He doesn't chase after me, just stands there looking confident and laid-back. Like a man trying to tempt a scared animal out from hiding. "I mean—I do bite, but most women like it."

I smile at that, because I can't help it, but I duck so he doesn’t see.

He’s probably so much more experienced than me.

He’s probably so dirty in the bedroom.

God, I shouldn’t be thinking about that. "I shouldn't even be talking to you," I say, shaking my head. I turn toward my car.

"No, you shouldn’t be," he calls from behind me, and I have to actually close my eyes to collect myself because it’s obvious he’s thinking about doing not-talking things. Things like last night. Things like biting.

Things good girls have no business being so turned on by.

I tell myself he probably says stuff like that to all the girls who walk away from him.

But who am I kidding? Who has ever walked away from Nick Ryder? Besides me, I mean. Twice now. I deserve an Oscar for my willpower. That should be a new category.

"Bye, Nick," I call as I flee with my coffee.

Then I step into my car, put my keys in the ignition and drive away before I lose my senses and change my mind.

Jeanette's Review

Close (Ryder Brothers, #1)Close by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The hotness of this book will set your kindle on fire. The instant spark between Nick and Natalie is just the start of a full blown blazing hot love story. Nick being a bad boy rock star and Natalie being a good girl actress is enough to complicate things, but add the fact that he is younger than her by 13 years. That alone was enough to keep me reading. Their story is not only super hot, sexy, and dirty, but it is also so beautiful and romantic all in one. This book is so freaking good and well worth the read.

BLURB

Hudson Pierce-

You act so high and mighty, you and your perfect pregnant wife Alayna. With your perfect child and your perfect home.

You weren't always perfect. Your past is filled with misdeeds.

Does your wife know all your secrets?

Would she stand behind you if she did?

You think because she’s on bedrest you can protect her? How sweet.

Sleep tight, you two.

-An Old Friend.

EXCERPT

If she’d needed a day or two in bed, upset and processing and obsessively looking through pictures of the event on social media, what would that have mattered? I trusted her to come back to me when she was through her anxiety. Maybe that was the key. Maybe she wasn't punishing me —but rather, was testing me. Seeing if I was capable of actually letting her go to work and not interfering. Not showing up, cold and demanding, when she lost track of time. Because in truth, I was the one who wasn't strong enough. For all that I blamed her for giving in to her overactive mind, I was the one who worried too much. Who was overprotective. Who couldn't handle the thought of her suffering, even only slightly. She was the one who alerted me to possibilities, her mind skittering from one thing to the next even as she stayed my rock. The truth was, without me, Alayna was still brilliant and clever and lovely and big-hearted and enough. But without her, I was nothing.

The excitement! The excitement!

Absolutely freaking wonderful! I’m so in love with these characters and the author gave us her all. It shows throughout the book. It’s exciting, sexy and will having hanging onto every word.

When Hudson starts getting threatening letters he decides digging into his past is the only way to find out who has it out for him. Worried for his family’s safety he will go whatever he needs to do to find the person responsible.

You know what I love about Hudson and Alayna? Everything! Absolutely everything. I love the way they love each other. And their story just keeps getting better and better. My heart is so full right now, you are going to love this book.

BLURB

I would have been stupid to turn the opportunity down.

A feature film starring the hottest man in Hollywood—and me.

It wasn’t just the chance of a lifetime; it was the first time I’d landed the leading role.

But Tanner James isn’t just any actor, aka “Sex God”.

He’s the man who took my virginity then shattered my dreams.

If I can use this part to launch a new career, it will be worth it.

If I can stop myself from falling back into bed with Tanner, it will be a miracle.

And my heart?

There’s no way he’s taking that from me.

He’s always been the one who owned it.

EXCERPT

“Today meant nothing,” I say. “Our past is in the past.”

“Totally in the past. But when I’m working with you…”

I feel myself inch closer to him. “... what?”

“Sometimes I can’t tell where we leave off and our characters begin.” Is he sitting nearer than he was a few seconds ago?

“I know. I feel the same way,” I confess, and then I’m definitely moving closer to him. Definitely staring at his lips. We’re like two magnets. Simply telling them to stay apart never stops the pull.

“But that’s the job, right?” he says, and his eyes are on my mouth now.

I nod. “We have to put everything aside and just focus on the work.”

“Right. Yes. I can do that.” He’s so close we’re almost touching. Then he reaches his hand out and places it on my thigh. I feel a chill run up my body, and I close my eyes. The warm, heavy feeling of his hand is so familiar and so exciting at once. “Can you do that?”

The honest answer is that I don’t know. I open my eyes and find him staring at me. I get lost in his stare. For a moment, we hesitate.

Then the next thing I know, my lips are pressed against his and his tongue is finding its way inside my mouth. I don’t know who started it, but neither of us can deny this is what we both want in this moment. Have wanted since this afternoon. Maybe since we first saw each other outside craft services two weeks ago.

He cradles my face between his hands and shifts me closer, as though afraid I’ll break our connection.

But I’m not going anywhere. I want more. I swing my leg over to straddle him, so I can press my hips into his pelvis. I groan when I feel how hard he is, groan with the need that’s already built up unbearably between my thighs. I rock back and forth, desperate. Only a few scraps of cloth stand between us, but they’re enough to frustrate me.

He stands up, me still astride him, then he tosses me onto my back in front of him. He kneels on the ground, and I’m lying on the couch of my trailer looking up at the ceiling, and a part of me is wondering how the hell this happened again. But a much louder part of me doesn’t want it to end before we’re both naked and screaming out all our unresolved anger in orgasm.

Before I have time to register what’s happening, I feel Tanner’s fingers creep up my thighs and under my panties. He plays with me, teasing before he plunges two fingers inside my body.

I gasp in surprise and delight.

This. This is what I need.

I let my thighs fall farther apart, giving him all the access he wants. Tanner dances and swirls his fingers around, first deep inside me and then up to brush my clit. I grip the couch, nearly paralyzed in anticipation. My legs begin to shake, and I can’t remember my own name anymore. All I can think about is how incredible this feels, and how, improbably, he’s become even more talented at touching a woman over the years. Holy shit.

I’ve never been fingered like this before.

He leaves one hand to work every centimeter of my clit then takes the other and dances it up and down the inside of my thighs until I’m crying out. His free hand covers my mouth, but that doesn’t help. It isn’t until he stills that I quiet, although my hips are still rocking greedily, trying to get what I want from his fingers.

“Sshh,” he says, “Someone might still be around.”

“I don’t care,” I moan, and, in the moment, I swear I don’t. Let everyone hear how glorious this is. Tanner grins as he presses his fingers back inside me, bending them and twisting them, showing off more moves that get my body pulsing and my pussy soaking wet.

I’m going to come. I’m so close. “Fuck, Tanner, yes…”

“Yes,” he growls, and that’s all it takes to send me flying over the edge into ecstasy.

... just as someone knocks on the trailer door.

Jeanette's Review of One More Time by Laurelin Paige

One More TimeOne More Time by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One More Time is a Sexy, Totally HOT second chance romance. I usually don't like movie star romances, but I had to give it a try because of who the author is. Laurelin is one of my favorite authors and boy does she know how to write some smoldering HOT AF scenes.

Tanner and Jenna's chemistry is just so off the charts Hot. I liked these two better together than apart. I had issues with the way they just let their relationship go to crap the first time around, but second chance romances are always better the second time around.

Although this story started out slow for me and it took me a little bit to get into. I ended up liking it all in the end.

Dirty Filthy Rich Men, an all-new sexy, contemporary romance from NYT Bestseller Laurelin Paige is available now!!!

dirtyfilthynewfontfinal

Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige Genre: Contemporary Romance

From NYT Bestselling author Laurelin Paige, discover a whole new world filled with sex, love, power, romance and dirty, filthy rich men.

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn’t know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me.

I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn't stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted—I knew who I wanted—until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.

And then what it was like to lose it.

Ten years later, I’ve found my way back. Back to their world. Back to him.

This time, I’m ready. I've been down this road before, and I know all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck me.

But it’s hard to resist. Especially when I know how much I’ll like it.

Excerpt:

After she was gone, I walked over to the windows and drank in the scene. The Town Center was high enough that it had an unblocked view of downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond. Giddiness surged through me, starting like a pinprick at my center and moving out through my veins in all directions until even my fingers and toes felt warm. I was really here. I made it. It wasn’t the way I thought it would be, but in the end, it still came out of my time at Harvard. I’d always known that connections made the difference in a career, and here I was. Finally. At the top of the world, looking out. I couldn’t stop grinning. “It’s incredible, isn’t it?” a male voice came from behind me. Still smiling, I glanced up and caught his reflection in the window. And everything disappeared. The world that had buzzed below, the beautiful scene, the excitement that had unfurled through my body—all of it evaporated and all that existed in its place was a pale, hollow shell of myself and the man in the perfectly tailored suit behind me. I turned to look at him directly. Our gazes smashed together, and my legs nearly fell out from under me. “Donovan,” I rasped. It was a miracle that I managed to find enough voice to say that much. And there was so much more that had to be said. So much more that I hadn’t prepared for. Which was ridiculous since I’d talked to him so many times in my head over the years, practiced so many conversations, but never did he show up out of the blue looking so dastardly handsome in a dark gray three-piece suit, his face rugged with scruff, his eyes hazel and earnest despite the playful smirk on his lips. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. I wasn’t even sure how to breathe anymore. He broke our gaze to nod out the window at the skyline, walking toward me as he said, “I’m sure you found the Empire.” Though his focus was now on the scenery, I didn’t take my eyes off him as he approached. He didn’t stop until he was right beside me. So close our shoulders would touch if I coughed. Tension ran off him like foam spilling over from a mug of beer. Good tension. Bad tension. I wasn’t sure if there was a difference when it came to Donovan. Which was why I was screwed if he was here. Why the hell was he here? “I thought you were in Tokyo.” I couldn’t stop staring at him. He’d gotten more refined with age, and rougher at the same time. His hair was short and his curls gone, giving him a polished look he lacked before. The lines by his eyes were more defined and his expression seemed harder than I’d remembered. It made him sexier. As if he was a man who needed to be sexier than the one I knew. “I came back two months ago,” he said offhandedly. “That’s it right there.” He leaned his face in close to mine as he pointed to the famous structure. “Do you see it?” Fuck if I cared about the Empire. I was in Donovan Kincaid’s orbit. What else was there in the world? DFRM AD TWO

Dirty Filthy Rich Men (Dirty Duet, #1)Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing!

Where do I begin? Wow. Dirty Filthy Rich Men is an explosive and extremely sexy read. I loved the characters but at times I wanted to slap Donovan and Sabrina had me wanting to beat my head against a wall.

We pick up ten years after Dirty Filthy Rich Boys let off. Sabrina runs into Weston who ends up offering her a job. Surprised he remembers her, he brings memories up that she has fought for years to forget. Donovan has invaded her dreams all these years, she just can't let him go.

These two characters Donovan and Sabrina are really dysfunctional but you can't help being pulled in by them and falling in love with them. Sabrina has tried everything to get Donovan to realize what they are but he stands firm that they are about sex only. No relationship. Can she convince him she's more?

I absolutely loved this book. This is a duet so keep in mind there is another book coming and I can't freaking wait to read it. I'm really routing for these two.

Chandler by Laurelin Paige

A Fixed Trilogy Spinoff Release Date: September 20th, 2016 Genre: Contemporary Romance

  CHANDLER FINAL .jpg

Synopsis:

I'm good in a boardroom, but I’m better in the bedroom. Much better. I can charm the skirt off any woman in one encounter. I'll even give her an orgasm before I put her in a cab. Or three. No more or she’ll start making plans for the future and I'm not into that.

Or I wasn’t until Genevive Fasbender. She's the first woman in five years that I want to spend the whole night with. And she's the first woman who’s told me I'm not what she wants in a lover, even after multiple O’s. She’s brash and bold and stubborn as hell, and she doesn’t believe it’s possible to satisfy her.

But I’m up for the challenge.

And after an incident in my brother’s office closet―a downright dirty incident―I think I’m just the guy to deliver.

Genevive Fasbender will never know what’s coming.

Excerpt:

Five minutes later, the valet pulls up with my car. Genevieve raises an eyebrow. “A Bugatti?” I’m so impressed she can name the model that I practically jizz in my pants. “It’s the best.” She shakes her head, and I swear I hear her mutter something about rich men and their toys, but I don’t respond, too occupied with inspecting my car and then passing the attendant the cash I promised him earlier for returning my vehicle in perfect condition. I slide into the driver’s seat, and when I look over at Genevieve as she buckles her seatbelt, a wave of pure, unadulterated lust rolls through me. I’m very aware that I’ve trapped her, that she’s now defenseless to my whims. Not that I’d take advantage, but goddamn, to think that I could… I nearly shiver at my own vile thoughts. Glad she can’t know what I’m thinking, I flash her a smile. “So. Where am I taking you?” “I’m staying at the Park Hyatt on 57th Street.” “Fancy.” The Park Hyatt is one of the nicest luxury hotels in New York. That means this girl has money, which isn’t a bad thing. Just, the swell of my wallet in my back pocket is usually one of my better attributes. If wealth doesn’t attract her, I hope I’m not shit out of luck when it comes to getting an invitation up to her room. Apparently, I’m transparent because she asks, “Not impressed?” “Quite the opposite. I’m worried you won’t have a reason to be impressed with me.” Now I’m the one who can’t believe how honest I’m being. “It’s a valid worry,” she says after a beat, and I can’t tell if she’s teasing or being blunt. Can’t tell if I should prepare for gut-wrenching disappointment or dive into another round of sexy banter. I concentrate on my driving instead, speeding up before slipping expertly into a tight opening in the adjacent lane. I’ll admit I’m showing off. “Smashing,” she says with a tone that vibrates through my body like I’m a tuning fork. Then, abruptly, she laughs, and I turn my head toward her, alarmed at the source of her amusement. “I still can’t believe you drive a Bugatti in the city. I can’t decide if that makes you brilliant or as mad as a bag of ferrets.” “Brilliant, of course.” Though, with her so close, I feel more like I’m going crazy. “What can I say? I like things that are fast.” “Of course you do.” “You don’t?” I raise a questioning brow. “Maybe you don’t understand how awesome fast can be.” I put my foot on the gas and race down the next block to prove my point. The traffic light turns red as I approach the intersection, and I ease the brakes. “See? Fast is fun.” “The problem with fast is it’s over too quickly.” Is that innuendo? Her gaze pierces into me, and the air around us feels tight and charged, and I’m suddenly certain that I will die if I don’t get to taste her tonight. Even if she didn’t mean anything more when she made her statement, I certainly do when I say, “Don’t worry. I know when to take my time.” She exhales, slowly, and I swear I can feel it. As though she’s already in my arms and her breath is grazing every inch of my bare skin. No matter what happens after this, I know she at least feels this…this attraction. Or whatever it is. Her voice is low and sultry when she replies. “You’re not talking about cars anymore. But do you really take your time? I’d guess you bolt the minute you’re finished.” She’s so blunt, so direct, and I don’t know if it’s a her thing or an English thing, but I like it. I also like this conversation we’re having. Because we’re drawing the lines, and that means the potential for tonight is high. So I answer with a nod, making sure she understands that she’s correct in thinking I’ll bolt. Because I will.

LAST KISS (St. Martin’s Griffin; June 14,2016)
is the follow-up that will tantalize and satisfy readers.

Emily Wayborn has made a decision. She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he
is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to
him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master
at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers, someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.
Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love.
She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart...or her
life.

With the start of the duology praised as “explosive” (Kirkus Reviews) and “carnal, erotic and emotionally
raw” (RT Book Reviews), the second takes the dangerous romance to all new heights.

Excerpt

“Oh, hi! I didn’t see you there.” I sounded flustered and on edge.
“Sorry to have surprised you.” The man’s head tipped toward
me. “Emily, right?” he asked, as he exhaled a puff of smoke.
I squinted at him, trying to place him, but I couldn’t. In fact, I
was certain I hadn’t seen him before. He had to be one of the ranch
guests, which didn’t explain how he knew me. “That’s right,” I said
tentatively. “I don’t think we’ve met.”
He tilted his head as he took another slow draw from his cigarette. “Nope. We haven’t.” Even in the dark, I didn’t miss the hungry way his eyes groped my frame.
He took a step toward me, and I readied myself to run. Just then,
the front door slammed open. I looked up to the porch to see a
couple of Reeve’s men leaving the house. When I turned back, the
man wasn’t there anymore. I glanced around and caught sight of
him circling around behind the building.
A man didn’t run off that easily if he hadn’t had ill intent.
I shivered. I wondered if all of the guests were that creepy. No
wonder Reeve was wary of them. Suddenly, I wanted to run and
tell him about the encounter.
Then, at the top of the stairs, I noticed his door was shut, which
meant he was in there. But what if he wasn’t alone? What if the conversation with Amber at dinner had led them to his bedroom?
Before I let myself get worked up, I looked to Amber’s door. It
was shut too. It was the first time I’d seen it closed since her arrival,
and my mind jumped to a hundred different possible conclusions.
Maybe she was exercising her new babysitter- free status. Maybe she
was puking again in the bathroom and wanted privacy. Or she was
making out with one of the ranchers. Or crying over what ever
Reeve had said to her after I’d left them.
Or she wasn’t in there at all.
I could easily knock on her door to find out, but I wasn’t sure I
could face her if she answered, and I was absolutely sure I couldn’t
take it if she didn’t.

Hoping I would be better equipped to handle the situation after
a good night’s sleep, I retreated to my own room with a sigh of resignation.
Though it was late enough to go to bed, my emotions were too
frazzled for sleep. And I was cold. My evening walk had set a chill
in my bones that lingered even in the warm house. While I wished
it was Reeve warming me up, a hot shower would be just as effective at raising my body temperature and would also calm my nerves.
I stripped, tossing my clothes onto the chair in the corner of my
room, then went to start the shower. I turned the water on without
getting in, sticking my hand under the stream until it was hot
enough. Then I crossed to the linen closet at the other end of the
bathroom and picked out a couple of towels. When I shut the door,
I turned back toward the shower and nearly jumped out of my skin.
“Reeve!” I patted my breastbone, trying to calm the thudding
in my chest. “Goddammit, you scared the hell out of me.” Between
his sneaky arrival and the lurking cowboy outside, I wouldn’t have
been surprised if I was on my way to a heart attack.
His lip curled up with amusement.
I scowled. “I’m glad you think sending me to an early grave is
funny.” But I wasn’t really irritated by his arrival in the least. I was
glad, and I was certain the accelerated tempo of my heart rate had
as much to do with his appearance at all as it did with the element
of surprise.
He leaned his hip against the vanity and folded his arms across
his chest, a position that highlighted both his broad shoulders and
toned biceps. “You like it when I keep you guessing,” he said dismissively, not an entirely inaccurate statement, though it was a bit
discomforting that he knew it so well.

“And I like you on your toes,” he added, his eyes dark as they
slid the length of my body. I felt them like silk as they caressed over
the slopes of my breasts, down the plane of my stomach, zeroing
in on the landing strip above my pussy. Suddenly I’d warmed up
quite sufficiently, the pool of moisture between my thighs as hot
as the steam gathering in the room.
I met his scrutiny with ogling of my own, biting my lip as my
eyes landed on the large bulge at the front of his pants. He was bare-
foot, and I tried not to wonder if that meant he’d been undressed
once already in the evening. Tried not to won der if it was his first
or second erection of the night.
Bringing the towels in front of me as a much-needed barrier, I
mirrored his crossed arms. “What are you doing here, anyway?”
He shrugged. “You wouldn’t come to my bed so I had to come
to yours.”
It was surprising how easily happiness bubbled in my chest.
Teasingly, I threw his words from the night before back at him.
“This isn’t my bed.”
He was already walking toward me. “It’s close enough.” The
towels fell to the floor as he seized my hips and turned my back to
the counter. His mouth captured mine, greedily stealing my breath
and sense of reason with his lips and tongue.
God, I was hungry for him. I roved my hands over his chest,
wanting to touch all of his body at once, delighting at the hard
muscles that met the underside of my palms. He was solid everywhere. A wall of strength and potency that could so easily overpower me. I was weak in his presence, incapable of anything except
to yield.
A warning bell sounded in the back of my head, though, urging
me to get my wits together and address . . . something. It was difficult to remember what exactly when his hands were on my breasts,
squeezing and pinching. The bite of pain sent jolts of electricity
through my nervous system, signals that my brain read as pleasure.
Pleasure I couldn’t resist.

Excerpt:

Reeve smirked—he loved it when I begged—but he didn’t take me where I wanted to go. Instead, with his fingers pinching my chin, he twisted my face so that my cheek pressed against the glass. “Look,” he said in reverence. The mirror ran the whole wall behind me then wrapped around the vanity so, facing this direction, I could see our reflections in the glass, half eclipsed by steam from the shower. He let go of me long enough to wipe the fog then resumed his grip on my jaw. I stared, transfixed by the sight of his cock driving into me over and over. With my focus where he wanted it, Reeve rearranged my legs, bringing one foot up to brace on the counter and propping the other in the sink. Now I was angled so that my cunt could better be seen in the mirror. It was naughty and erotic and I couldn’t stop staring. “Look at that,” he said again, his fingers jabbing into my skin. “The way you let me use you is so beautiful.” Beautiful. It was beautiful. The way he had me spread out awkwardly across the bathroom sink, naked while he was still clothed—it was vile and wicked and oh, so beautiful. “I can’t control myself when I’m inside you.” His voice was ragged and threadbare. “I want to tear you apart. I want to rip you to shreds.” He moved both of his hands to grasp my thighs, tilting my pelvis so that his thrusts hit even deeper. “I want to destroy you. Want to fuck you to pieces. Want to shatter you. Want to break you.” His awful, wonderful words set a storm to gather low inside me, and I could tell that this time it wouldn’t back down. I shifted my hands from the counter to his forearms to brace myself for its attack. The movement drew his attention from the mirror to my face. “Want to break you,” he repeated, his words more of a rumble than actual speech. “You do,” I said, peering up under heavy lids, my voice a mere rasp. “You do break me. Every time.” Reeve’s eyes sparked in awe, then the muscles in his neck grew taut and his rhythm stuttered. With a low growl, he froze and spilled into me, his fingers digging so deep into my skin I was sure they’d leave bruises on my thighs. It was so hot, how he defiled and wrecked me. So hot how he loved to see me devastated. So hot that I joined him in his release. My mouth fell open and my climax took over, coarsely racking through my body. Even with the mirror supporting my back, I was freefalling, spinning with pleasure. Only a thin layer of sweat and steam covered my body, but it felt like I’d been pulled underwater into a whirlpool of bliss. Reeve put himself away, then watched me as I finished, as if completely enamored with my orgasm. As if completely enamored with me. It was somewhat disconcerting to feel his eyes so heavy on me. He’d seen me come so many times before, but I’d never noticed him so intent. I lowered my gaze, but he lifted my chin, forcing me to meet his stare head-on. With a gentle touch, he swept a lock of sweat-drenched hair from my forehead. “Every time?” He’d been tender with me in the past, but it wasn’t his usual M.O., and it startled me. Moved me as I realized it came from a place of concern. “Yes,” I answered honestly, because he did break me, every time that he stuck his cock inside me, every time that he made me climax, every time that he touched me. Outside of the moment, when the sex was over and we were people instead of sex-driven beasts, it sounded horrible. Who would want to be broken by her lover? Who would want to be destroyed? I do. I always did. I longed for it and needed it. I needed him. I caught his hand and pressed the back of it to my cheek. “It’s the only reason I ever want to be someone who’s put together. So that you can break me all over again.”

Excerpt:

I groaned and threw the covers off of me, heading for the shower. Usually I ran first, and I still planned to, but I needed something to cool the fire in my veins. Hopefully standing under an ice cold stream of water would do the trick.
It didn’t.
I tried running next, opting for ten miles instead of my normal six, thinking maybe I could sweat out the lust like it was a cold. Or was that a fever? Whatever, I came back tired, achy and soaked in perspiration, and the buzz between my legs was stronger than ever.
I was distracted by it through the rest of the morning. Gwen and I caught up on America’s Got Talent before she planned to go to bed for the day—her job at a nightclub kept her on a strange schedule. Afterward, I couldn’t remember a single thing I’d watched, but I could recall with clarity every moment I’d spent with Boyd the night before. That wasn’t a subject I planned on discussing with Gwen, though. So most of my responses to her were nods and grunts. Then she’d gone to sleep, thankfully, except after that I was left alone with the agony of my desire.
The rest of the night was more of the same, and Sunday as well. By Monday morning, I’d run over twenty miles, cleaned my entire house, taken five showers, and not thought about Boyd Barrett about a thousand times. Maybe even two thousand times. And now I had to go to work and face him.
Help me God.
I decided to go in early. That way I could sneak into my office without having to pass him on the way in. It wasn’t until I was in the elevator on my way to my floor that I remembered I also didn’t want to see Hudson. Several years with a clean, respectable work record, and in one evening I’d shattered my reputation with not one, but two, colleagues. The two colleagues who were the most important to me, no less.
Jesus, maybe I did need to quit.
It wasn’t yet seven, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Hudson were already working. Often, he slept in the loft above his office, which made an early appearance more probable than one from Boyd. Anxiety rose in my chest, an odd feeling for me since I was usually composed and calm. As soon as the doors opened, I ducked my head and scurried down the hallway, letting out a sigh of relief when I made it past Hudson’s office without seeing him.
And then gasping sharply when I ran into him, instead, outside my own office.
“Norma, I was hoping you’d be here early. I wondered if I could have a few minutes of your time.”

Jeanette's Review of Falling Under You by Laurelin Paige

5+ Stars

Another Great Read from a Great Author, Laurelin Paige never disappoints. She always writes some really steamy, hot scenes. I loved the fixed trilogy and this is a nice addition to it. Falling Under you is Norma's story. I remember not liking her too much in the fixed trilogy, but really who could blame her for trying to get into Hudson's bed.

I liked learning more of Norma in this novella and her relationship with Boyd.  Boyd is a dirty talking alpha male that you just can't help but to love. I loved his dominance and her submissiveness to him in the bedroom.

This is a really HOT novella that I highly recommend you read. I loved it from beginning to end.

Happy Reading Everyone!!
