Obsession at its best.
Dark, gritty and actually kinda freaky. Yep, this book is that. Grayson is extremely obsessed with Violet. His employee for six years and he's never noticed her. Until she slams her resignation on his desk he'd never noticed his beautiful assistant. Grayson has a problem, he focuses on one thing and never wavers from it. When the slam on his desk has him looking up he sees her for the first time and immediately he is obsessed.
Violet has been living in fear. Her past relationship was so abusive that she ran and hasn't stopped yet. Working for the same man for six years and never getting a thank you, not to mention the rude comments and looks she gets from her co-workers has her finally deciding to quit and more on. Only problem now the boss she's fantasize about for years finally has noticed her.
Wonderful book. I love how crazy Grayson is over Violet. Yeah, he's stalkerish but I still adore him. The story held my attention all the way through and the writing was great.

Whisper Forever by C.A. Harms
I wanted to forget him so many times. Erase the memories we shared and pretend he didn’t exist. It would have made his absence easier to accept.
Lucas Rivers broke my heart more than once.
In my world he was my guy, the one I’d grow old with and laugh with. But things aren’t that simple, and time changes everything.
That naive girl with dreams of happily-ever-afters was gone.
I didn’t need a man to complete me. I was enough—no, I was more than enough. I was strong and determined. I was Madelyn Emery, and never again would a boy break my heart.
But the moment Lucas returned after four years, acting like we could pick up where we left off, that strength inside me shifted. The more I tried to ignore his efforts, the harder he fought.
How can one simple word whispered by one man mean so very much?
C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.
She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You will always find her with her kindle or paperback in hand as it is her favorite pass time.
The Year of Four
The Blood of Kings
THE YEAR OF FOUR
A PHOEBE POPE NOVEL (Book 1)
by NYA JADE
Later, as the rest of the campus slept, Phoebe lay heartsick in the small grassy courtyard behind her dorm. Under a clear sky, she gazed at the brittle-looking moon, willing her body not to succumb to fatigue. If she did not sleep, the nightmare would not come. But Phoebe knew that, whether or not her eyes closed, the memory would still find a way in. Always.
She remembered rain hammering on the roof of the car as her father sped down a road lined by a wall of forest on either side. Behind them, the choral growl of the Vigos rose.
“Seat belt!” her father had shouted. His eyes were focused ahead, his jaw hard. Drawing the belt across her body, Phoebe stared in the side view mirror, seeing the moving shadows growing larger in the distance. Her panic soared.
“It’s going to be okay.” Her father stole a quick glance at her. “They can’t chase us all night. I promise you.”
Phoebe glanced at the speedometer and swallowed; the needle had pushed up past ninety. They turned a tight corner, and then, as her father had promised, the Vigos fell back, their growls receding into the drone of the rain. Phoebe saw triumph flash in her father’s eyes mere seconds before the car hydroplaned, turning and turning as though it would never stop.
Even now, as she lay curled in on herself, her arms wrapped around her body, Phoebe could hear the explosion of the car smashing into the tree. She could taste the gagging heat of blood dripping down her throat as she crawled her way out of the tangled mass of glass, metal, and branches.
“Dad,” Phoebe cried, stumbling over to the broken shape of her father lying nearby.
His eyes flickered up at her. “Honey,” he said, his voice hoarse and urgent. “They heard the crash.” He coughed raggedly, and blood ran from the corner of his mouth. “You’ve got to go.” What her father was asking her to do rattled around in Phoebe’s brain, failing to fully register even as her legs gave way underneath her. Her knees hit soggy earth, and, frantically eyeballing his injuries, she touched his face.
“You’ve already started heal—”
“I can’t heal enough before they get here.” His eyes slid to the darkness behind her, in the direction from which they’d come. Phoebe could hear them coming and the ground beneath her trembled with the vibrations of their advancing feet—Vigos drunk with the scent of a Shaper down.

Guest Post From Adriana Kraft:
What lengths would you go to if you wanted to seduce someone? What if the woman you want to seduce is a frosty English professor older than you by at least a decadeâand what if, in addition to that, you want to get her hooked up with your current lover, a brawny carpenter?
Believe it or not, thatâs Megâs plan, and thereâs hardly any length she wonât go to. Sheâs only twenty, and the small-town world of Burntside, Wisconsin, is her apple. She stars in the local playhouse productions â directed, it turns out, by that same frosty English professor. Her goals? Have fun, have lots of uninhibited sex, enjoy the moment, and avoid any commitments that limit her freedom. Sheâs convinced that hooking Cat up with Kurt will bring them pleasure and set her free to pursue her next dream somewhere far away from Burntside.
In a nutshell, thatâs her motivation. Our motivation in creating her? We set out to write a romp, not worrying too much at first about depth of character or character transformation. We crafted the broad strokes of a plot in which we could deliver some of our own favorite kinds of erotic scenes. But both we and our characters discovered deeper motivations as we delved into the project.
Weâll let readers discover how Meg grows and changes across the series, which covers nearly a decade of her life. We think she may surprise you! Our goals expanded beyond delivering hot sex scenes to exploring, in this book, how both a carpenter and a professor can shed their negative assumptions about each other and revel in the things it turns out they have in common. Much of the rest of the series also focuses on destroying stereotypes and blowing up assumptions, while never losing sight of creating sizzling mind-blowing ménage scenes. We think that makes for some surprising scorching combinations.
This five book series was originally released in 2009 by a different e-publisher. Itâs been unavailable for over four years, and weâre thrilled Extasy Books has contracted to re-release it, completely revised and re-edited. In the meantime, Meg insisted we write one more adventure. The six books will release approximately every ten weeks. Watch for Book Two: A Woman for Zachary in early August!
In the excerpt below, Megâs been sunbathing nude in the back yard of the house where she rents a room from the professor, the first steps in her seduction plan.
Peering through shuttered eyelashes, Meg Keenan nearly purred. Sheâd seen the tall figure of Cat Shanahan leave the curtained window. Apparently the lanky redhead had no idea the sun struck the window in a way that showed her slim form off to nice advantage.
Meg snickered. Why else would she choose this particular time of day to come out onto the sundeck? Because the sun shining on the window exposed Cat to her view almost as much as she was exposed to Catâs.
At least she had the womanâs attention. Meg closed her eyelids and exhaled slowly. Soon sheâd have Catâs body.
Stretching languidly, Meg smiled and sat up. Her plan was proceeding quite nicely. Kurt had been pissed sheâd rented the professorâs upstairs apartment. Though Meg was quite comfortable being a townie, Kurt carried a chip on his shoulder about town-gown tensions. Was that part of why heâd never gone to college in spite of doing so well in high school? Instead, he and Jack Mobly had established a construction company. At twenty-four, Kurt had a certain amount of control over his life that Meg envied. He didnât seem to care that there was a world outside Burntside, Wisconsin.
She, on the other hand, needed to see beyond the horizon. She hadnât found her ticket out just yet, but she knew sheâd find a way. Fortunately, they both knew that.
While she and Kurt had been lovers for two years, neither suffered under the illusion of any long-term commitments. Sheâd known him all her life. And they were very compatible lovers. What one partner didnât think of, the other did, and being together meant they could enjoy their fascination with sex without having to deal with the meat market. Their relationship was one of convenience, yet quite satisfying.
But Meg was ready to leave Burntside, and she wanted Kurt to have something he didnât even know he wanted. She wanted him to have Professor Caitlin Shanahan. And sheâd given herself the assignment to make that happen.~*~*~*~*~*~ About the Author:

My Best Friend’s Ex, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy from Meghan Quinn is available now!
My Best Friend’s Ex by Meghan Quinn Publication Date: June 1st, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson.
Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal since Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer.
Boy, was I wrong.
Rules are set, dinners are made, conversations are had, and a shirtless, swoony roommate walks around in nothing but a pair of black briefs, ruining me for every other man.
Before I know it, I turn into a panting, lust-filled woman begging for Tucker to kiss me, touch me, and show me exactly what is hiding under those briefs.
But with great orgasms, comes great consequences.
Tucker might be my friend and roommate but he’s also my best friend's ex-boyfriend, making him completely off-limits. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language.
Excerpt:“Morning,” Tucker’s deep voice rattles off the cabinets. It’s his morning voice, deeper, throatier—if that makes sense—and I hate to admit it, because he’s just my friend, but sexier. Once my pupils adjust to the light, I take Tucker in. He’s standing in front of the stove, rubber spatula in hand, wearing a white long-sleeve Henley shirt, the top two buttons undone, a pair of worn jeans with a few paint stains on them, and tan work boots. Sweet Jesus, he makes construction look good. Strap a tool belt around his waist and stick him in front of a camera for the benefit of all womankind. “Morning,” I say in reply, using the counter to help hold up my tired body. “You’re up early. What time do you have to go into work?” “Around seven thirty. I like to get an early start before the boys come in.” He looks me up and down, a small smile at the corner of his lips. “You look good.” He motions around his head with his hand. “I really like what you did with your hair.” I turn toward the window in the kitchen and check out my reflection. Sure enough, my long brown hair looks like a lion’s mane poofed out and framing my face with an abundance of volume. Beautiful. There is no use in taming it, so I leave my hair as is and turn back toward Tucker. “Not many people can get this kind of height while sleeping.” I pretend to fluff my hair. “Impressive.” He chuckles and then points to the coffee maker with the spatula. “Coffee is done, mugs are above in the cabinet. Grab me a cup, will ya? Eggs will be done shortly, bacon is warming in the oven.” I do as directed, thinking it’s kind of cute how he’s including me in on his little morning breakfast. “I didn’t even know you had eggs. I was expecting to hit up Dunkin’ Donuts or Tim Horton’s this morning.” He turns off the stove and reaches for two plates from the dish rack. “I went to Walmart this morning. Picked up a few things.” “This morning?” I pour two cups of coffee and turn toward him. “What time did you wake up?” “Four thirty,” he answers casually. “Got a quick run in, did some weights, took a shower and then went to Walmart.” He fills our plates with bacon and eggs and then nods toward the dining room, plates and silverware in hand. “I have a surprise.” I follow him to the dining room where he flips on the light and reveals a card table fold-out dining set. “You got a table.” I chuckle, loving that it’s a fold-out card table with matching chairs. Anything is better than the floor. “And placemats,” he adds, as he lifts two plastic placemats from one of the chairs. “The options were bleak so I went with dinosaurs for me and Trolls for you. Given the look of your morning hair, Trolls was the right choice.” Clever bastard. He sets them on the table and then puts our plates on top of them. God, it’s too freaking cute. Chuckling, I take a seat and hand him his coffee. “Look at you getting all domestic. I never thought you would be a placemat kind of man, I stand corrected.” He rests a napkin on his legs, which are spread drastically, almost the length of the table and leans over to fork some eggs into his mouth. “Didn’t want our food to damage the plastic of this high-class table.” I love the humor in his voice, it reminds me of all the good times we had, before the end of his relationship with Sadie. “Smart man, you want this table to last.” “Of course, you don’t see fine furniture like this in houses anymore. Everything has to be so sturdy. What ever happened to rickety furniture and living through a meal with the threat of your food possibly kissing the floor at any point in time?” “The horror,” I joke. He looks up at me. Some of his hair is still wet from his shower. Pointing his fork at me he says, “Are you ready to be schooled?” “Schooled on what?” I take a bite of bacon and my stomach jumps in excitement for finally rewarding it for waking up early. All right, I will admit it, getting out of bed was a smart idea. “It’s Monday, babe. DJ Hot Cock has his song picked and ready to show you what real music is.” “When was my music taste ever questioned? I like good music.” “We’ll see.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone. I watch as he flips through it until he lands on the song he wants to introduce me to. He presses play and sets his phone on the table. The light pickings of a guitar fill the small dining room. I don’t recognize the song, but I like the sound of it so far. Just as I’m settling in to the sweet pickings of a guitar, the distinct voice of Zac Brown chimes in. I’ve known Tucker for loving EMO growing up, so his choice in a country song is very surprising to me, but when I look up at him, pure hometown country boy sitting across from me, it makes perfect sense. And then the lyrics hit me. My Old Man. Zac sings about his father, hoping he’s proud of the man he’s become. I’m transported back to a dreary day in Whitney Point, where we grew up, when Sadie called me one Saturday morning. I was getting ready for the day. We were in middle school. Tucker’s dad was killed by a head-on collision, the dad Tucker just reconnected with, the dad Tucker had plans on moving in with to get away from his neglectful mom. Those next few days—and weeks—were a whirlwind of sorrow. Attending his funeral, my first ever funeral, seeing the look of devastation on Tucker’s face, wondering what he might be feeling, trying to channel his hurt, it was so much to take on as a teenager. Glancing up, I take in Tucker’s expression. He’s lost in the music, in the words, just like me. When the song ends, I lean over and place my hand on his, our eyes meet and there is an unspoken understanding between us. I don’t have to say anything about his dad, about the tragedy we went through so many years ago together as friends. It’s all said between this silent exchange.

Michael clears his throat for my attention. I remain impassive as I regard him. He insists, “It is evident your training has been too lenient. There will be no more tolerance for your inept abilities. You will either do or suffer.”
“Do you understand?”
I force my Darkness at bay. “No. I don’t understand what I did wrong.”
His green eyes darken as his voice booms, shaking the columns within the grand hall, “You let him go!”
My hands squeeze into fists. I sense Solas, Jack, Evelyn, Eric, and Alice burst through the open doors. My sight never leaves Michael. He is a sight to behold. His grand white wings almost fill the width of the room, and his veins are expanded through his arms, neck, and face. I’m not a coward. I stand my ground with a cool temperament, “He was gone before we arrived. I don’t know why you are so upset about it. Mephistopheles will come to us here. It was foretold in my vision.”
“Yet you do nothing to change it!”
I throw my hands up, cocking my hip out, then letting them slap my thighs, “Damn.” I snap the fingers of my right hand across my body with heavy sarcasm, “You got me there!”
My back slams into the wall beside the entrance. The wall shatters around me as Michael’s hand becomes a vice around my throat. I choke with my body being held off the ground. Everyone attempts to come to my aid but are stopped by an invisible wall. Jack and Solas bounce off it with their attempt. They continue to charge the ward that Michael must have placed to keep everyone at bay. Michael growls in my face, “Do not test me, child. I will break you like you have never been broken before.”
Camael steps closer to the invisible ward holding them back and barks, “Michael! Release her!”
Michael ignores him. “Save yourself the torture. Yield.”
“Get your hands off her!” Jack shouts before slamming his body against the ward.
Michael’s scowl bores into me, waiting for an answer. I have never trusted Michael. He’s the only one of the Originals I don’t believe has The Gray Legion’s best interest at heart—if he has a heart, it’s a glacial mountain. Why have the other Originals trusted him for eons? Would Evelyn be honest and tell me the truth if I asked her why she trusts him too? Michael once claimed he treated Jack as his own son in Camael’s absence. I have yet to witness it. I make a note to talk to Jack as soon as I’m able.
Michael pulls me from the wall to slam me back again. Rock explodes from the impact and my vision wavers, blood filling my mouth. He bellows, “Answer me!”
I’m not able to see past Michael, yet I hear the others struggling behind him. My rage is no longer an emotion I can keep down. I release my Darkness, and Michael’s features falter. I give him a bloody smile though my choking, “You can fucking try.” My wings rupture through my skin, shoving me from the wall as I lift my foot and kick Michael in the chest. He sails back, stopping himself with his wings. “I bet you break before I do,” I taunt.
He tests, “Do you honestly want to do this?”
My smile never ceases, stretched beneath my black eyes. “Absolutely.”
