 Hopeful Whispers by Bink CummingsMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Amazing.... I didn't think there was anyway that Bink could make me love this book as well as the first but boy was I wrong. I am so in love with these characters and their story that I feel as though I'm there with them through my read. This book is comical, sexy and so full of great moments that you go from smiling to crying in a heartbeat. Yes it ends with a cliff hanger and usually I stay away from those but knowing we are about to get one awesome finish soon makes it okay. This has become my favorite series of Bink's. Katrina is one great fierce lady who has got to be one of the best female characters I've read about. Awesome read, awesome series. View all my reviews

 Free Ride by M.N. ForgyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Amazing!!!!! I'm stunned, amazed and extremely excited for Forgy. This book is simply amazing, it's original and totally unexpected. I have to admit when I first started Free Ride I did wonder where the author was taking us, how things were going to come together. I honestly couldn't put it together and then it was like the clouds separated and the sun starting shining. I was hooked, totally engaged and falling in love with characters that will stay with me for a while. I love how this isn't a typical biker book and we get something so original and eye opening. She's given the reader a seamless story with well developed characters who will stay with you well after the last page.

 Max's Redemption by L. WilderMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Second change at its best! I absolutely love this authors books, and with each one she grows so much as an author. Max's Redemption turned me into a blubbering fool. My heart ached and I totally feel in love with the characters Max and Harper. Being in love with Harper most of his life he made the difficult decision to let her after a life changing event. They both greeted each other and never totally gotten over the other. So when they run into each other years later the feelings are still there.... but so is the issue that made Max push her away. These two were made for each other and i really loved their story. Second change stories are one of my favorite genres and the author did a wonderful job with this one. It's a definite must read.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group.  American King by Sierra SimoneMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Oh. My. God. I don't really know where to start or what to say. First though five stars isn't enough. I am totally gutted. I am a pretty fast reader but it took me two days to read this. I would read a chapter, put my kindle down and cry. Once I got myself together I would start on the next chapter and start the cycle over. American King is absolutely the best book of the year by far. This has been one of those series that you can't help but fall totally in love with. The characters tug at your heart and their story is everything. Absolutely everything. I am in total awe of the author. How she could take a story and turn it into something so beautiful, haunting and so full of love that it's left me speechless and a blubbering mess. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend this series to anyone who believes in true love. This is a definite must read.

To be fair, I’m a bit jaded now, my objectivity overpowered by the vision of him between the sheets with his secretary, Nora. Her perfectly tan body, the blonde hair, him moving on top of her, the look on their faces when I came home early….
“Focus,” I shout like a crazy person. My mastiff Henry rustles in the back seat, stretched over duffle bags, a few beach towels, and some random household items. I flick on my left turn signal, peering over my shoulder to try to get a clear view of the lane beside me. It’s next to impossible, since my tiny Suzuki’s bogged down by the material contents of my life, or at least those things I deemed worthy enough to carry to the next phase. Always a precarious driver at best, I tell myself to breathe, say a little prayer, and swerve into the lane beside me. Mercifully, it works. We don’t die.
I adjust my sunglasses on my head, a few flyaway strands of hair sticking to my hot-pink lip gloss and making me wish I opted for plain lips. But a girl changing her life… well, it felt like a pink lip gloss kind of day this morning.
I drive on, Keith Urban’s songs and Henry’s snoring my only company besides my warped memories and anxiety-ridden thoughts. The sun beats down, a few clouds wispy in the bright sky. It’s a gorgeous day, a day screaming of redemption, of resurrection.
With nothing but time to think for the last two hours of my drive, my mind wanders to another dark place—the place beyond the bedroom escapades of my ex-husband. It travels to the place of doubt, the place so many family members and friends have played on in the past few weeks.

Lindsay wants women readers to be able to say, “I see myself in that novel.” She wants to speak to the modern woman’s experience while also bringing a twist of something new and exciting. Her aim is for readers to say, “That could happen,” or “I feel like the characters are real.” That’s how she knows she's done her job.
Lindsay's hope is that by becoming a published author, she can inspire some of her students and other aspiring writers to pursue their own passions. She wants them to see that any dream can be attained and publishing a novel isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
