My order appears and I straighten, intending to claim my coffee and find a seat, when a pretty twenty-something brunette races forward in a puff of sweet, floral-scented perfume, and grabs it.
“Miss,” I begin, “that’s—”
She takes a sip and grimaces. “What is this?” She turns to the counter. “Excuse me,” she calls out. “My drink is wrong.”
“Because it’s not your drink,” Karen reprimands her, setting a new cup on the counter. “This is your drink.” She reaches for my cup and turns it around, pointing to the name scribbled on the side. “This one’s for Shane.” She glances at me. “I’ll be right back to fix this. I have another customer.”
I wave my acknowledgment and she hurries away, while my floral-scented coffee thief faces me, her porcelain cheeks flushed, her full, really damn distracting mouth, painted pink. “I’m so sorry,” she offers quickly. “I thought I was the only one without my coffee and I was in a hurry.” She starts to hand me my coffee and then quickly sets it on the counter. “You can’t have that. I drank out of it.”
“I saw that,” I say, picking it up. “You grimaced with disgust after trying it.”
Her eyes, a pale blue that matches the short-sleeved silk blouse, go wide. “Oh. I mean no. Or I did, but not because it’s a bad cup of coffee. It’s just very strong.”
“It’s a triple-shot latte.”
“A triple,” she says, looking quite serious. “Did you know that in some third- world countries they bottle that stuff and sell it as a way to grow hair on your chest.” She lowers her voice and whispers, “That’s not a good look for me.”
“Fortunately,” I say in the midst of a chuckle I would have claimed wasn’t possible five minutes ago, “I don’t share that dilemma.” I lift my cup and add, “Cheers,” before taking a drink, the heavy, rich flavor sliding over my tongue.
She pales, looking exceedingly uncomfortable, before repeating, “I drank from that cup.”
“I know,” I say, offering it back to her. “Try another drink.”
She takes the cup and sets it on the counter. “I can’t drink that. And you can’t either.” She points to the hole on top, now smudged pink. “My lipstick is all over it and I really hate to tell you this but it’s all over you too and . . .” She laughs, a soft, sexy sound, her hands settling on her slender, but curvy hips, accented by a fitted black skirt. “Sorry. I don’t mean to laugh, but it’s not a good shade for you.”
I laugh now too, officially and impossibly charmed by this woman in spite of being in the middle of what feels like World War III. “Seems you know how to make a lasting impression.”
“Thankfully it’s not lasting,” she says. “It’ll wipe right off. And thank you for being such a good sport. I really am sorry again for all of this.”
“Apologize by getting it off me.”
Confusion puckers her brow. “What?”
“You put it on me.” I grab a napkin from the counter and offer it to her. “You get it off.”
“I put it on the cup,” she says, clearly recovering her quick wit. “You put it on you.”
“I assure you, that had I put it on me, we both would have enjoyed it much more than we are now.” I glance at the napkin.
“Are you going to help me?”
Her cheeks flush and she hugs herself, her sudden shyness an intriguing contrast to her confident banter. “I’ll let you know if you don’t get it all.”
My apparently lipstick- stained lips curve at her quick wit but I take the napkin and wipe my mouth, arching a questioning brow when I’m done. She points to the corner of my mouth. “A little more on the left.”
I hand her the napkin. “You do it.”
She inhales, as if for courage, but takes it. “Fine,” she says, stepping closer, that wicked sweet scent of hers teasing my nostrils. Wasting no time, she reaches for my mouth, her body swaying in my direction while my hand itches to settle at her waist. I want this woman and I’m not letting her get away.
“There,” she says, her arm lowering, and not about to let her escape, I capture her hand, holding it and the napkin between us.
Those gorgeous pale blue eyes of hers dart to mine, wide with surprise, the connection sparking an unmistakable charge between us…

Amazon US | Amazon UK | Amazon AU | Amazon CA |IBooks | Barnes & Noble | KOBO Excerpt Aimee Aimee tried to listen to everything that Daemon told her about the game, but her eyes kept wandering over to his strong arms and the cute way that his dark hair curled at the nape of his neck. She hadn’t said much since their make-out session. She was equal parts proud of herself for going after him and mortified. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine herself masturbating in front of him and then practically placing her cunt on his mouth. However, she had also never imagined him being such a welcoming partner. Judging by the caresses that he had been giving her during their training session, she had an idea that he wanted to experience more of her soon. The one thing she knew for sure was that she would combust if he trailed another fingertip up her leg. As it was, she might have to excuse herself to get a fresh pair of panties. “This is our main planet here,” Daemon said as he drove his space cruiser that looked a lot like a Star Wars X-Wing fighter, to a reddish brown planet. “Okay, why do you need the planets?” she was sure that he must have mentioned it, but she had been daydreaming. “We have to build our civilization so we can make the things that we need for battles. Like on this planet we get the ore to make our ships. The colors of the planet help us determine what they can be used for. For example, blue is water.” Aimee was perplexed. This game was certainly more complex than she had given it credit for. “Then how do you compete if you have to spend all your time finding your materials and making things?” Daemon reached over and grabbed the soda that she had finally offered him and took a long sip. As he put it down, he smiled to her. “Well, Nebula One, the maker of the game, takes out the territories of the competitors for the competition and puts them in a system where it’s only them competing in battle.” As Aimee watched Daemon, or D3m0nChaser, as he was known on the game, navigate his ship through some tricky meteor filled airspace, she felt her heart sink. Just because Steph was her identical twin didn’t mean that Aimee could pass as Steph when it came to playing The Celestial Prophesy. Steph had always been good at games, whereas Aimee had always crashed hard. “I don’t think that I’m going to be able to pass off as Steph,” she admitted as she bungled the controls. She winced as her ship once again crashed into an asteroid. The controls were so confusing. The top controls determined up and down, whereas the bottom controls steered right or left. She was able to do one or the other, but the two of them together- forget it! Helping Steph and her team was her goal, but she didn’t want to make her sister look bad, and that’s just what would happen if she continued this charade. Aimee looked out of the corner of her eye to try to gage Daemon’s true feelings. In profile, he looked so masculine. His nose had a bit of a bump in it, like he had broken it at some point in time, but his sensuous lips identified him as a true lover. His jaw was squared and strong. Before they had started the game, he had reached into his pocket to pull out a pair of dark rimmed glasses, and put them on. She had never seen him wear glasses before, and he had made some comment about allergies and contacts being a bad mix. She found that she liked the glasses on him. They added character. A little geeky was quickly becoming her type. Especially those who sported a Rebel Alliance tattoo on their right bicep and Superman on their left. Her mouth watered, wanting to lick the vibrant lines of each. He paused the game and turned toward her. He took her controller and placed it down next to his. Taking her hands, he held them in his as his thumbs rubbed circles along the top of her still sensitive hands. “Aimee, look at me.” When she looked up at him, she saw warmth in his emerald eyes. “You’re going to do fine. The rest of the group will help get you through it. I’ll be right at your side. Just do as I say.” “You better be! This controller is hard to use. I think I would do better if I had a joystick,” she grumbled. A twinkle came to his eye and he let out a small laugh. He then brought her hands to his erect package, straining to get out of his pants. “I’ve got your joystick right here.” Aimee started laughing so hard that she almost fell off the couch. Laughing helped her diffuse any tension and nerves that she had at the moment. “Thanks! I needed that!” “How do you think my Johnson feels about you laughing at him?” Daemon jokingly pouted as he continued to loosely hold her hands to him. The sound of the keys jingling outside the door with the occasional swearword from Alisha made Aimee leap away from Daemon as if she were on fire. She straightened her clothes and then hurried to open the door. Daemon merely laughed at her flustered movements. Aimee swung open the door just as Alisha stood poised with the key ready to insert into the lock as Steph stood next to her. They all laughed as Aimee let them in. Alisha came in and greeted Daemon as she came to sit with him on the couch. Aimee noted how Alisha’s smile seemed a little too big and she sat a little too close to Daemon for comfort. When he mentioned something, Alisha gave an exaggerated laugh and flipped her hair. Aimee actually heard herself growl. He was hers! “Wow, Aimee. Cool it!” Steph gently murmured. Steph always seemed to know what was going on with her without any words being said; of course, Aimee’s growl was a bit of a giveaway. Daemon stood up and gave Aimee a lazy smile and a wink, which had her heart working on overtime. Damn! No one should have the right to look so perfectly normal after what they just did. She ventured a glance over at Alisha to see that his flirtatious looks to her did not go unnoticed. Alisha was looking at him and was pouting. Daemon didn’t seem to notice Alisha as he sided up to Aimee and put his strong arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his warm, hard body. She shivered a little at the intimate contact as he leaned down and kissed her head. Aimee looked at her sister and friend, melting at his actions. As awful as she felt admitting it, she was pleased that Alisha could see that she had lost the war. Daemon was hers. Steph gave her an ‘I knew it!’ smile, whereas, Alisha’s jaw dropped as her brows furled. Aimee turned her head to see Daemon look back at the other ladies and lazily smile, “I was just teaching Aimee about joysticks.” “I’m sure you were,” Steph sarcastically replied as she dropped to the couch next to Alisha.About The Author

Jogging up the stairs to the second floor, I sneak into the back row of the classroom. I pull out my laptop and quickly catch up with the professor’s lecture. The guy a couple seats down passes a syllabus over, and when I turn to thank him, I’m reminded that nothing comes easy in my life.
“Is there a reason you were holding my girlfriend’s hand?” Ella’s boyfriend whispers, sliding into the open seat between us. Well…shit. “She won’t be your girlfriend for long,” my cockiness answers for me. My arrogance is a great intimidator that’s always worked in getting me what I want. “Who are you?” As his beady eyes try to daunt me, I get an up close look at him. I can see why El might have fallen for him. He’s a safe bet. Probably riding the coattails of his family’s money, paving his way with his arrogant little bitch frat brothers. It only assures me of one thing. I don’t have to fight him for El. This guy wouldn’t start a fight if I fucked her right in the middle of his bed. El is just a trophy to him. He doesn’t love her like I do. “I’m just an old friend. We have a long history together.” I glance at him from the corner of my eye, offering him a quick wink. His knuckles whiten as he clenches his pen. It couldn’t be more satisfying, knowing I’m getting under his skin. His annoyed expression tells me that Ella hasn’t been so open about her life and her past. This guy doesn’t have a shot. “She’s taken, so keep your hands to yourself.” A few heads flip around after his voice heightens. Not needing a professor to hate me on day one, I lean in closer to whisper in his ear, “I can’t make any promises. It’s nothing personal, believe me, but technically, she’s always been mine.” I ease back against my chair right as the professor’s eyes catch mine. Liam’s head whips around, and I wait for him to ask me to take our discussion outside. But he cowers, like I knew he would. “Try to steal her away from me, and see what happens,” he says. “I’m not going to have to try hard. Your time with her was over the moment she saw me.” The professor forcefully clears her throat, eyeing us. If we don’t end this conversation soon, we’ll both be kicked out. “Don’t be so cocky, asshole. The fact that I don’t know anything about you, and the fact that she’s never mentioned your name, show what she really thinks of you.” “You two”—the professor points, and a hundred pairs of eyes turn in our direction—“since you’re so chatty, maybe you should be conducting the lecture this morning?” She crosses her arms over her purple blouse and waits for our answer. “Sorry, Professor Knight,” Douche Bag says. “Sorry,” I say. She nods and starts the lecture back up again, her eyes continuing to linger on us. He slides over to his original seat. I strike my earlier thought. I have no idea what El sees in this weak shithead. I lean over the now vacant chair, testing my luck one final time. “Don’t worry. I’ll be around. We can continue this conversation soon.”
He scoffs me off, shaking his head. His fingers start tapping on the keys of his laptop as he accepts his defeat for this round.
Rounding Third by Michelle Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars So not what I thought it was going to be, it was so much more! I was expecting a sports romance, not a emotional heartbreaking book. Oh gosh, my heart broke for these characters. This is a second chance love story with outstanding characters who you will fall in love with. This book is absolutely wonderful and the writing is so good you'll feel like your in the book, like you personally know the characters and are living their story with them. This is such a great story your going to love it! Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around two kindergarteners all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.

The Prince of Punk Rock (Book 1) Jessi let the warm water from the shower spray onto her face. She was happy. Tommy was happy. Angel was happy. Their much needed talk at the breakfast table set some ground rules. Angel was open to communication and encouraged it. It gave her comfort. After she showered, she meandered back to the bedroom, as she towel dried her hair. Tommy and Angel were already naked and in each other’s arms on top of the unmade bed. “What took you so long?” Tommy asked, before returning his lips to Angel’s neck. Jessi didn’t answer. She wanted to watch. She leaned against the doorway and folded her arms. She watched Tommy kiss Angel with an urgency that she never saw before, and the love that Angel had for Tommy was never clearer to the naked eye than it was right now. She knew they were in love. It didn’t scare her as much as she thought it would. The confidence she had in their marriage overshadowed her fears and doubts. Her thoughts were pushed aside by the sound of Tommy moaning and breathing heavily. Angel was stroking Tommy and sucking on his nipples. Jessi let the towel around her body drop to the floor and crawled into bed, on the other side of Tommy. She glided her hand up his back and kissed his shoulder. He immediately turned onto his back, so that he could share himself equally between her and Angel, and he kissed her. Her mouth moved to his chest, and she could feel his heart gently beating underneath her lips. She kissed her way down his torso and her tongue crawled across his skin. It accidentally collided with Angel’s mouth. They both looked up in surprise and shared a smile. She wasn’t sure what Angel was thinking, but she wanted to kiss him. Fear of rejection made her hesitate, but it was unwarranted. Angel grabbed her by the back of the neck and firmly planted his mouth on hers. His tongue invaded her mouth and bathed its circumference. She was spellbound by the intensity of his kiss. She couldn’t think about anything else except Angel’s warm, authoritative tongue inside her mouth, and she immediately felt warmth and wetness between her legs. Now she understood why Tommy had that dreamy look on his face whenever Angel kissed him. Angel withdrew his tongue, but she wanted more and placed a long kiss on his lips, hoping for another visit from his magical tongue. But he just smiled at her, and then moved his mouth back down to Tommy’s belly. Tommy pulled her up and kissed her. It was like night and day. Angel’s kiss was forceful and commanding. Tommy’s was slow and soft. She loved the tenderness in which he slowly moved his tongue in gentle, purposeful circles around her mouth, but she found herself still reminiscing over the kiss she just shared with Angel.

Kaithlin Shepherd is the author of the Callaway series, the Brass series and the Saints and Sinners series.
Born and raised in Canada by a working single mom and a loving grandmother, Kaithlin surrounded herself with novels by Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts provided by her grandmother. Kaithlin quickly fell in love with reading. It was in high school, thanks to an English teacher, that Kaithlin wrote her first story (although if you ask for it, she will deny ever writing it) about a popular boy band. Inspired by constructive criticism, Kaithlin spent some time developing her love affair with words through more reading than someone would think possible.
After pursuing a higher education, Kaithlin, sat down with a pen and paper and decided to give writing a shot. With no false hope in mind, her first novel, Make Me Whole, slowly came to life. Putting fear and doubt aside, Kaithlin has published five books to date, and has eleven more set to be published in the next two years.

Chapter 1
Georgia Burke slipped a hand down her hip, smoothing her favorite skirt in place as the summer breeze whipped across the lake. The last thing she needed was to flash the Drunken Duck patrons on the patio a look at her girly bits. Granted, they were covered in her sexiest pair of cream lace panties, and she was here to pick up a hot man to do the dirty with, but her newfound brazen spirit only went so far. If she was lucky it would actually survive until she ordered a drink at the bar. Georgia's confidence crumbled as she made her way to the front entrance of the pub and a group of guys on the patio started laughing. Two pointed at her and the third whipped his head around to see her. They all had classically good looks, short hair and lean muscles behind fitted t-shirts. Young. They snickered at her expense again, but she squared her shoulders and moved into the interior of the pub. Fuck them and their frat boy mentality. Women came in all shapes and sizes, and if they expected every female to fit their version of sexy, they were going to be sorely mistaken when they got out in the real world. Georgia put a little extra swing into her walk as she gathered her confidence again. She had great tits and a curvy build with no shame in showing off. It might've taken years to find that confidence, only to have it knocked back by her last boyfriend, but she wasn't letting any man dictate how she felt about herself ever again. Fuck that and fuck them. And with that final thought, she took her size sixteen ass straight to the mahogany bar and ordered a very nice local craft beer on tap. The little pixie behind the bar served it up without fuss and started Georgia a tab. While she was sipping at her beer and scoping out the crowd, a body bumped into her right arm. The beer splashed down the front of her fitted, white shirt, highlighting the lace bra underneath for anyone to see. After setting her half empty beer down, Georgia turned to face the guy who had yet to apologize or acknowledge he was most definitely in her personal space. It might be a Friday night on the lake, but it was still relatively early and the place wasn't busting at the seams yet. It was one of the college boys from the patio. He had a self-satisfied smirk on his face, staring down Georgia's top but never really looking at her face. "Nice rack for a fat chick." Before she could speak up, the petite bartender scooped up her glass and handed over a stack of bar napkins. "Apologize to the lady." "It was an accident." The bartender, all five feet nothing of her, leveled the kid across from her with a glare that could melt the skin off his face and said, "Acting like a dick in my bar will get your ass kicked out. Now apologize." "Babe, this isn't even your bar. And I'm a paying customer. No one's kicking me out." Georgia raised a lone eyebrow at the kid's audacity, but the bartender across from her just threw her head back and laughed. And laughed some more. When she dropped her head back down there wasn't any lingering humor on her face. She was all business and looked a little bit deadly. "That mountain standing behind you," she lifted a finger to point at a very severe, and very large, man that appeared behind the frat boy, "is my husband." "Molly?" Georgia did a double take when the massive man slapped a hand down on the kid's shoulder. He was tall, well over six feet, built like a brick house, and completely bald. Dead sexy as well. But that was all secondary to how quickly the frat boy paled when he turned to face Molly's husband. "Cal, be a doll and show this dick and his friends off the property." The kid sputtered as Cal led him away with a firm grip without another word. Georgia turned around and faced Molly behind the bar. "Thanks, but you didn't have to kick anyone out because of me." Molly frowned. "Honey, those fucking clowns needed to go. They're predators and it was just a matter of time before Cal throat punched them. It was my pleasure." Even though she smiled, Georgia didn't know what to say in response to that, so she just started to mop up her wet shirt. "You vacationing here? Haven't seen you around before." "My brother lives here and I'm house sitting while he's road tripping with my nephew. I just got in this afternoon." "You're Dane Burke's kid sister? Georgia, right?" Georgia's head snapped up. "You know Dane?" Molly shrugged. "Small town. He's neighbors with a good friend of mine. Nice guy. Great kid." "Yeah, they're both pretty great." "Welcome to Fox Lake." She paused, placing a fresh beer down. "Your neighbor in the bungalow is Emma Rae, and her man is Gabe. You let any of us know if you need something while you're here." Georgia nodded, then sat back and took in the petite woman. Small town hospitality at its finest. She might actually like it here. "I appreciate that. I'm a little out of my element right now." Molly leaned forward and rested her arms on the bar before speaking. "Stop back in through the week sometime. It's typically quieter, and I'll buy you a drink. We're going to be friends, chick." Georgia let a slow smile spread across her face. "I'd like that, Molly." "Good. I'll be back to check on you in a bit. Crowds going to be picking up soon." She slapped a hand down on the bar before walking away. Georgia scanned the area again. It looked like everyone was paired off or in groups. So much for her grand plan to score a hot guy for some dirty sex. It was probably a dumb idea anyway. Just because you found your jerk boyfriend sticking it in your friend, in your bed, and in your apartment, doesn't mean snapping up a random dude at a bar was a good idea. But it definitely sounded like fun.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars A sexy, cute novella. Yes, remember it's a novella so your not disappointed with the length of it. Because you definitely won't want it to end. I loved it! I loved the characters both Will and Georgia brought so much to this book. He is sweet, hot and loveable while Georgia is curvy and full of spunk. The story was great of course yes I wasn't ready for it to end but loved it just the same. This is a wonderful start to what is going to be a great series.

INTRO TO EXCERPT:
In high school, Hugo and Kevin discover they are perfect for each other. Sadly they fell in love years too early to make a solid commitment, and college and other relationships got in the way. Fifteen years later they meet again, and all those old feelings are rekindled.
Second chances at such perfect love don’t happen everyday. Hugo and Kevin immediately know they’re meant to be, but figuring out a way to combine their divergent lives without rocking their wellestablished boats is the challenge. If that’s even possible.
Perhaps their love is worth upending the worlds they know.
EXCERPT:
Kevin laughed deep and warm in his chest and stopped walking, pulling Hugo to a stop with him. “God, Hugo. I missed you. You always did know what to say to make me feel better. How the heck did we ever lose track of each other after everything we discovered together?”
Hugo shrugged, not knowing how to answer after their gradual drift from talking on a regular basis during their first month in college to nothing by the time winter break came. “We just had different lives, I think,” he said with another shrug.
“We went our separate ways after I said goodbye to you in your driveway.”
“I still regret not kissing you that day. I should have just said ‘screw it’ and kissed you like I wanted to, even if my dad was right there.” Hugo looked up the few inches to meet Kevin’s gray eyes and tried to smile, but it probably came across more as sadness than a smile. He couldn’t believe
Kevin still thought of that day too. He wondered if Kevin’s mind ever drifted to the kiss in the wooded meadow when he was bored in a meeting or like Hugo’s had that very afternoon in the car. Slowly, he felt the corner of his mouth turn into something akin to flirty, and he asked, “Oh?”
“Yes,” Kevin said as his warm thumb trailed across Hugo’s jaw toward his chin. “I’ve thought about that day a lot, about our last kiss and how I wish it never would’ve ended. Damn the rain. Would you mind if I showed you how I’ve always imagined that moment in the driveway would’ve happened?”
“Yes, you can show me,” Hugo stammered, his heart beating hard against his chest.
Kevin’s smile lit up his face, and he looked so young just then, the careworn lines that had appeared between his brows while talking about his father smoothing.
“Okay, so maybe this isn’t exactly like I would have said things back then, but this is how I wish I would’ve done it. Ready?” Hugo nodded and licked his lips, drawing Kevin’s attention to his mouth.
“So pretend we’re standing next to my open trunk,” Kevin directed as he led Hugo near the tail end of a car parked in a driveway close to the roadside. Kevin tilted his head left and right, shaking his hands out loosely next to his body as if trying to get into character.
“Hugo,” he started, somehow pulling youthful nervousness into his voice, “we should plan on getting together in a few weeks.”
“Sure,” Hugo answered, ready to play along with the conversation he barely remembered. He recalled the feelings he’d had, though: excitement about leaving Austin but sadness about leaving Kevin. “I can get a ride down to St. Peter, or you can come up to Minneapolis. It’s not that far.”
That drive never ended up happening for either of them because Hugo auditioned for a play in the U’s theater department and got a lead role as a freshman, something unheard of. He had no time to get together on weekends because he had homework to do and lines to memorize and blocking to learn and sets to help build.
“Seventy miles or so.”
That’s where Hugo vaguely remembered Kevin’s dad clapping his big hands and telling Kevin he’d better hit the road. Now there was just the sound of faroff waves and traffic from the highway on the other side of the trees peppered with exploding fireworks.
“I’d love that,” Hugo said, regretful he hadn’t taken the time to find a ride and just go. “I’ll make it happen,” he promised, and he wished he’d kept it.
Kevin looked at Hugo with such intensity; even in the darkness surrounding them, Hugo could see how blown Kevin’s pupils were.
“It’ll happen this time,” Kevin whispered against Hugo’s mouth, lazily closing his eyes as he spoke.
Hugo tasted Kevin’s breath on his tongue, remembering it. A silvery thread of his memory seemed to actually weave this moment to the moments in his past, pushing Hugo back into that world, filling him with all those emotions he had for Kevin when they were just boys. Kevin was the only man Hugo had really and truly been in love with. He was the ruler every single boyfriend since had to unwittingly measure himself against. And none, not a single one, had ever gotten anywhere near.
