 Cards of Love: Knight of Swords by Autumn Jones LakeMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Wow! This is outstanding! Roman and Juliet are wonderful characters with a story that is raw and will have your heart exploding. Meeting as teenagers these two both have very difficult lives. Her being raised by a aunt and uncle who don’t want her and him being raised in the foster system. Together they find what is really like to be loved. I really enjoyed this quick read so much that I am dying for more of these two. Absolutely fantastic! View all my reviews

Her timid voice came from behind me. Pride surged through me when I realized she'd moved and stayed put without me even having to ask. She trusted me. Her hands settled against my shoulder blades, and I swear even through the thin material of my tee and the thick leather cut, her warmth pulsed against my skin. When the Viper finally moved out of sight, I hooked my arm around her waist and hauled her in front of me. "Nothing. Just never know." Her forehead wrinkled, but she wisely chose to keep her opinions to herself. "Now, what were you saying?" Guilt flashed in her eyes. Her gaze darted somewhere over my shoulder before she answered, "I don't remember." I took her words at face value. I’d messed with her head enough today. If it wasn't for the damn ring around her finger, I'd have her on my bike on the way to my house so damn fast. But, believe it or not, I didn't believe in cheating either. And honestly, I liked her too much to disrespect her. Above everything else, I knew I couldn’t stand it if she ended up hating me. "I should make an appointment to come into your office to talk about a few business things." "My office is in my house. I meet my clients at a friend's office downtown usually." Fuck me. The thought of going to her house, seeing what she liked to surround herself with, and getting in her personal space excited me a lot more than I liked to admit.

“I love being with you,” Wyatt says as if he’d read my thoughts. I squeeze his hand. “I love being with you, too. We have fun together, right?” “Always, Trinity.” He stops and glances down at me with a serious expression. “Not just the sex—although, that’s fucking awesome.” “Fuck yeah, it is,” I tease, jabbing my finger in his gut. That was stupid. His stomach’s like a brick wall. “Ow. I think I broke a nail.” “Nutty girl.” He tugs me along a faint path through the woods. The trail follows a small stream, and I keep stopping to see if there are any fish. “We don’t have any poles,” Wyatt says, stopping to check the water with me. “What, you can’t play Tarzan and catch one with your bare hands for me?” He busts up laughing. “I can, if that’s what you want.” He stops and pulls me close. “What do you think about owning a cabin up here? Like this one?” “We just built a house. You want to move here?” Is he suggesting leaving the club? I can’t imagine Wyatt wanting to do that. “No. A vacation place. To get away from everything when we need to.” “Oh. Sure,” I say off the cuff, certain he’s not serious, but his next words knock me sideways. “It would make a nice wedding present for my girl.” “What? Did you…is it ours?” “Not yet. I wanted to see if we liked it first. The owner’s had it on the market for a while, so I think we can get it for a good price.” The way he keeps saying we, even though I haven’t really done anything to contribute to our finances, I don’t know, it does something to me. It’s a silly thing to fixate on at the moment, but I can’t help it. “I love it here. But I love wherever we go as long as we’re together.” He gives me a soft smile and kisses my forehead. “Really, Wyatt. Whatever you want is fine by me.” “I’ve seen the pictures of your dream house on the beach,” he teases. “Mmm…a hut in Belize where you can run around in a loin cloth all day would be perfection,” I joke back. His mouth lifts into a sexy smirk. “That might be a little out of our price range right now.” “Cabin in the woods works for me, too. I’ll follow you anywhere.” He takes my hand again. We traipse through the woods together, enjoying the quiet. My stomach growls and I’m about to tell Wyatt I want to head back, when he suddenly stops. “What?” I giggle and he shushes me. All the fun is sucked right out of our morning.

 White Knuckles by Autumn Jones LakeMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Absolutely Wonderful! Not only was this exciting, hot, yes hot, but it was extremely sweet. I love Wrath, always have but with this book I am even more in love with him. He is so sweet and loving, he loves Trinity with everything he has and he isn't afraid to show it. Trinity is tough and faithful to not only Wrath but the whole club. When needed, she stepped up and did what needed to be done to help the club. Her and Wrath are a wonderful couple who truly belong together. We got some closure with this book and was able to fall more in love with the men and woman of LOKI. This is definitely one of the best MC series out there and you won't be disappointed with where the author takes you. Her writing is phenomenal and knows how to keep you coming back for more.
