 Devils & Rye by Alta HensleyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars This maybe my favorite of the series. It is a standalone so you don’t have to read the others but you really should they are all great. Devils and Rye isn’t as dark as some of the others but it’s a taboo read. When Alec gets a letter from his former business partner to help protect his daughter, Little Makayla isn’t the sweet little girl he remembers. She’s a beautiful woman who still calls him Uncle Alec. This read is sexy, gritty and I loved Alec. He’s amazing and he and Makayla’s story is wonderful. Alta has become one of my favorite authors and her stories and writing is phenomenal. So we heard just enough about the Drayton Dolls in the other books to entice us, now we get them and what a great story. They are Victors vision, his art and I for one loved it. When Ivy gets fired she is offered the chance of a lifetime. To become one of the famous Drayton Dolls. Nervous not knowing what to expect she needs this job to help her family. Never did she dream that she’d get so much more. This author has quick to become one of absolute favorites. Scoundrels & Scotch is exciting, intriguing and gritty. Everything I read of hers I fall more in love with her writing. Villains and Vodka is a true example of that. This is the second book in the Top Shelf series. Marlowe ran from her past, needing to start over and forget who she was. Being a waitress at the exclusive Spiked Roses has its benefits, the money is great and she has control of her life. That's where she sees him....... Harley Crow. He's dangerous, a killer..... she wants him.... badly. Harley Crow is an assassin, killer... he's deadly. As one of the owners of Spiked Roses he goes there most nights, drinks his vodka, stays away from the others. He doesn't mix business with pleasure so he stays away from the girls..... until he sees her... then he's intrigued. These two together are explosive, exciting and electrifying.  Bastards & Whiskey by Alta HensleyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars Sizzling... I just recently found Alta and let just say she is becoming a favorite of mine. Not only does she gives us extremely hot scenes she also totally messes with your mind. Bastards & Whiskey is no different. It has amazing characters, a great story and scenes so hot they will make a call girl blush. Kenneth is powerful, rich and sexy. He's a no nonsense kind of guy that is until he meets Anita who is just messed up enough to fit right with the craziness. This book is exciting and has some of those moments that leave you speechless. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say this book has a men's only club, whiskey, spankings and contracts. You're definitely gonna want to read it.

I didn't see it coming.. at all. I love when that happens. It was on the edge of your seat stuff. One minute I'm shocked the next wondering if I am crazy cause I'm enjoying it so much. Yes it's dark and disturbing but y'all it's wonderful. And these characters, geez they are great. This was my first book by this author but no way will it be my last. You gotta read it!
