 Something in the Way by Jessica HawkinsMy rating: 4 of 5 stars Wonderful! What a great start to what is going to be a wonderful series. Lake is a sixteen year old who is concentrating on getting into college. She lives in a bubble that her Dad has put her in. No fun just studying. Her older sister Tiffany has no job with no goals and still lives at home. Manning lost his sister years ago. He left his family and is on his own. Going to school at night and working any job he can find to survive. When he meets Lake at first she reminds him so much of his little sister but then he gets to know her and he knows he should stay away from her. A wrong place wrong time thing has Manning in real trouble. Lake could help but he wants her to stay out of it. He'll take punishment to save her. His birdie. I loved everything about this book. The story kept me entertained, the characters are wonderful and the writing was phenomenal. I can't wait for the next book! View all my reviews |
