Author: MariaLisa deMora
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: November 6, 2017
Fury has made a name for himself in club life as a member and officer who calls things like he sees âem, and not a man to put up with lies and deceit. When he takes time to think about it, he finds the reputation amusing considering the kind of guy he used to be.
As soon as he could, Gabe Ledbetter fled his familyâs home in the mountains of Kentucky. Those hills and valleys were undeniably beautiful, but they masked a painful legacy of loss and betrayal. Gabe counted himself fortunate to have gotten out, his scream-filled nightmares a reminder that not everyone had been as lucky.
Gabe, now called Fury, has built a family for himself with the men he calls brothers. Over time, he worked his way from club to club, managing to climb the ladder of responsibility until in his small world he was the top dog. Big man, but one with an empty bed.
Bethany Mason-Taylor has lived her whole life in survival mode. From her first memories of a traumatic childhood, it always felt as if she were skating a mere stoneâs throw ahead of disaster. Everything finally seems to be on track for success, and now that sheâs put her most embarrassing fiasco behind her, managing the come-back tour for a band signed by her brotherâs record label should be a breeze.
That is until one gloriously handsome redhead slipped into her hotel room and derailed all of Bethyâs carefully laid plans. Sheâs the forbidden fruit, sister of his MC president. Heâs her ultimate weakness. Oh yeah, this is gonna be fun.

From Chapter Ten
âI know there are a few more things I should deal with today, but Iâm beat, guys and gals.â Six faces turned and looked at Bethany. âTwo more interviews and Iâm calling it, going to head to the hotel. This trip piled on top of a few busy days back in Nashville means my bed is calling.â
âYou must have been up before daybreak to get to the airport,â Chase said, reaching over and grabbing a handful of chips. âNo wonder youâre beyond tired.â
Looking around the room, she noted the band members had all stopped their activities. Apparently, her announcement provided the permission they needed to switch back to lounging around, bottles of water and soft drinks in hand. At least their nerves were eased by todayâs early interviews. Benny was an old hand at this, but the rest of the group were less polished. Bethy glanced over at her nephew with a grin, thinking it was a good thing Mason hadnât told Chase about the gig ahead of time. As it was, the young man looked wrung out. She knew if heâd had even a couple of extra days to worry and fuss, he would be a whole other level of exhausted. She was about to offer to take him to the hotel too when the door abruptly opened.
Bethyâs breath caught in her chest as she watched a striking redhead walk in, complete with a full, thick beard and an attitude of owning all the space around him. Itâs just not fair, she thought, assuming he was one of the radio promoters. Why are the good-looking ones always in out of the way places like Lamesa?
Benny stood, hand out, evidently thinking the same thing about the guy, but before she could move forward, Chase was hooting with laughter, yelling, âFury, dude. Totally didnât expect to see you here!â He turned to her, a delighted grin in place on his face as he introduced them, âAunt Bethy, this is Fury. Heâs one of Dadâs trusted few in Fort Wayne.â Twisting, he held out a hand to point at her, speaking to Fury, âThis is my best Aunt Bethy. Sheâs the coolest. She runs the record label for Dad, and signed Bennyâs band.â
Standing slowly, she took the look Fury was giving her, half-appraising and half-aggravated. She held out her hand to shake, and when he wrapped his fingers around hers, she felt a zinging awareness of him zip through her and watched his eyes widen and then develop a laser intensity as he studied her. Shoulders rising and falling as he pulled in a deep breath, he reintroduced himself, âFury. Otherwise known as your escort while in town.â
With a nod, she responded, âBethany Mason-Taylor, otherwise known as the awesome Aunt Bethy.â
He smiled at her, white teeth flashing in the midst of that dark red beard and she found herself smiling back at him. Damn.

Neither This, Nor That MC series
Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she says âIâve always loved to read, but then I discovered writing, and found I adored that, too. For reading ⦠if nothing else is available, Iâve been known to read the back of the cereal box.â
A hockey fan, hiker, gamer, and single mom of a special needs son, she embraces her inner geek and has been working in the tech field for a publishing company for a couple decades.
Music is a driving passion, and she says, âI love music of nearly any genre â jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap, hip hop ⦠you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars [read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection of premium tequila, then thatâs a plus!â
